“I first must say that I have dined here at least 6 times in the past 30 or more years, and I live more than 3 hours away. I love Mineral Point and I love the Red Roster Cafe. The building used to be a bank back in the 1800s, I believe it is still the original ornate tin ceiling. This time my wife and I were doing the Fall Art Tour in the area. We arrived at the Red Rooster about 11:45 AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Sat at the counter, tables all filled. Of course the main idea was to have a pasty. This is a great place! Everything nice one could say about a small town cafe, this place has it. Very cozy, reasonable prices, very friendly service, prompt service, great ambiance, cool vibe and excellent food. It's all here. My wife and I both had a pasty, the individual, not the pie cut one. They are large and very filling. Ask for gravy with it, that's the best way to eat one. The pasty also comes with rolls and a Tuna Mac Salad for under $11. Coffee here is also excellent, bottomless cup. We shared a dessert of Bread Pudding, they make it great here, the best Bread Pudding as well. Thank you to all the staff here for a wonderful lunch!!”

“I don't know what I just ate that had some sort of sausage or linked meat, shredded BBQ pork, bacon, and cheese, but it was amazing. I don't like smokey flavors and this was not smokey. It was a nice rich filling meal... all on a bun. 10/10 on this and this was carryout that I had to reheat that was made earlier in the day. I can only imagine fresh! Perfect after a long day's work! “Nice little place on the corner in town. Simple menu with enough options for most. Atmosphere is relaxed and the setup is pretty simple. Basic metal tables and chairs, but still comfy. Decent beer selection as well. Not sure if it’s handicap accessible, I recall there being a front step and no ramp. Lots of places in town are closed Sundays, that’s not to say Dino’s is a “take it or leave it” option, it was worth coming into!”

“I have yet to find a bad culvers but this one is definitely one we frequent as a family and even during busy times the food is on point and all there. It is very busy but there is a reason for that , may have to wait a bit but not too long and it's always worth it!”
