“We met friends who were from out of town for lunch at Buck & Honey's on Sunday. They had never been there, so with my wife and me having been there before and very much impressed, we suggested it. What an incredible atmosphere, superb food quality and service that is so rare these days. We sure had a very memorable time and dining experience and will be coming back again very soon. Our guests could not stop raving about this place also. A shot out to our waitress Aliyah for such an outstanding job taking care of us. You sure are excellent at what you do and we thank you sincerely!”

“We love Fratteli’s; have been several times. The restaurant industry is so hit or miss these days but Fratteli’s never disappoints! Tonight, we had the owner as our server (unknown until the end of our meal when we asked). He mentioned making the dessert himself! Banana bread pudding.. so yummy! Everything was fantastic! And both our entrees were completely homemade. Highly recommend!”

“Noel, the manager, always takes great care of us. We've become regulars at the Monona Denny's, mornings and the odd breakfast late at night as well. Noel recognizes us, is warm, and always keeps the coffee pouring before we ever see the bottoms of our mugs. The entire team works like a well oiled machine, and they really put so much effort and pride into their work. It's what keeps us coming back, even more than the food itself!”

“We are spoiled for good choices for coffee shops on the east side of Madison now, and Ancora adds another excellent option. We have been several times since they opened, both eating in and the drive through. Workers have always been friendly and efficient, the coffee and food options are several cuts above the big chain coffee shops (they have one of the better breakfast burritos around), and the seating is well lit by giant windows and always clean. The drive through only has room for a few cars, so it fills up easily, but they do a good job of moving customers through it. The pricing is a little more expensive than at national chains, but you are getting what you pay for and more in terms of quality.”

“Great authentic Mexican food. I had the steak fajitas burrito. It was delicious and huge. I also had a couple margaritas and they were excellent. We had a family of four, all adult meals, and some margaritas and price was better than expected for the size and quality of the meals and drinks.”

“For fast food the burgers were very good the fries were also very good. The quality of the food was outstanding for fast food. The price was also very good. This isn't anything gourmet but definitely worth the price. Hands down better than other fast food competitors. I really liked that there was malt vinegar available as a condiment for the fries. The menu is relatively simply which shows they are focused on doing what they do well. For what is an typical fast food hamburger joint everything ran smooth and was pleasant. If you are looking for a really good fast burger and fresh cut fries that were frozen and don't want to pay 30 plus dollars at five guys this is the place to go. I would say the food stacks up better than five guys at about half the price.”

“I’ve never been in a Taco John’s. I’m glad this was my first experience. It’s been a long time since I’ve had fast food, but I was running errands and figured why not? “Chinese food in Madison is very hit or miss in my opinion. So I’m always on the lookout for different restaurants to try. China star was next on my list and it didn’t disappoint. Now it does have its differences than other Madison Chinese restaurants. I would compare this to a Chicago Chinese restaurant. The fried rice doesn’t have peas and carrots, and a lot of dishes have sprouts which is a plus in my book. The egg rolls were perfectly prepared and the egg foo young (complete with sprouts), was very fulfilling. The beef and broccoli were pretty basic but the meat was very tender and flavorful. Definitely would recommend and plan to go back to try more dishes!”

“Once you learn how to cook it, this is a great tasting pizza! We use an air oven on bake @ 430 degrees for ~20 minutes, but always keep an eye on it until you figure it out for your preference.”
