“Our kind of place, I see some other review's, (Need to stick with there blind tied affair joints. with thier noses tilted to the sky, Stay Away!) This place is unique, Owner is extremely nice an out going, other patrons were friendly, (some locals and some from across sea's) as wellWe're not bikers, we don't mind other none judgmental personality's, the atmosphere is unique, maybe off the beaten path, (another plus in our likings). we missed out on a popular band, (we're not from the area)The owner offered some different ideas to add in our beverages, which were very tasty recommendations to try.Hopefully next time we can plan to stay at the camp ground near by, an stay longer.“
“It was busy while we where there. Food was good. We missed the gator. They have two birds and one is called bert. If you day hello bert he at times says it back. He has a bald spot but that does not mean it's unhappy. If it's a female could simply be not being able to mare. The bird is fine.“
“The food and service here are both good. The waitress was attentive and food tastes wonderfully homemade but be aware of their policies for credit card fees and charging for every refill on soda. I wish places would tell you that before they serve you. We could’ve been ok with one soda, and saved $2.50 plus extra money in a credit card fee! We are far less likely to make this part of our regular restaurant rotation now.“
“Very nice place. Staff went out of their way to make us welcome. The Pho is very good but you have to ask for it ahead of time. I personally found the Pad Thai very excellent with a little chili paste to heat it up a little. They have a nice deck out back for sitting and overlooking the water. We look forward to visiting again.“
“It is a family owned restaurant just off highway I-39 in Mosinee Wisconsin. The food is awesome and nice variety on their menu.Service there is outstanding and friendly. They were very busy as usual yet there was no waiting.Made for a very enjoyable dinner for us.May I also add I have been there for breakfast and lunch a few times also and have never been disappointed in the food or the service.“
“First visit for us, and we will definitely go back again! It was on Good Friday, and even though they were quite busy, we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Staff was friendly and efficient. I had a 2 PC Fish Fry, with half fries and half potato salad, and it also comes with coleslaw & bread. The fish pieces and coleslaw portions were good-sized, and I actually took a piece home but ate everything else. The potato salad was creamy the way I liked it, and the coleslaw was good as well. ( It's hard to find a good coleslaw I like), and the prices were very reasonable too. The only thing I'd suggest is to cook the fries just a bit more for a little crispiness.“
“This is a fun place to enjoy the water with family or friends. It’s a short walk from the parking lot to the water. They have paddle boards and kayaks available to rent. We went near the end of the season and they were pretty swamped and out of a lot of food items but they still did a great job taking care of everyone. The kids loved playing in the sand and jumping off the docks. It was pretty busy and there was a lot of motor boat traffic which made paddle boarding/kayaking less enjoyable. The food was only okay, but it was a lot of fun!“
“We stopped in without a reservation. Got seated immediately. The waitress was great! My only complaint was that the walleye was quite fishy tasting. Yes, I know it is fish, but this was strong. Everything else was very good. We will go back again.“
“Restaurants in hotels can be a hit or miss and Van Acre hit the mark. The food was phenomenal, from breakfast to dinner. I’ve had the breakfast buffet twice and they had ample of selection and protein selection were not greasy at all. Phil was very down to earth and accommodating - kudos to him! There was another gentleman who served me (can’t recall the name) and he, too, was very attentive. On to dinner service. Portions were very generous but I can’t say enough on how spectacular the food tasted. Get the smoke plate - the pork belly alone was to die for. This is by far one of the best restaurants in a hotel I’ve ever been with respect to quality of food and phenomenal service by all staff.Kid-friendliness: Washroom had Koala care with liners and staff offered booster seat.“
“We stopped on a whim. We were headed to a different restaurant and spotted this one. The host and waitress were friendly. Our food came promptly. I had prime rib sandwich, and my mom had liver and onions. Both meals were tasty and large quantities. We both had to go boxes when we left. Only drawback was the coffee at $2.50. I do understand the price, but I never got offered a refill. I do understand they were getting ready setting up for large Birthday party.“
“The staff are super friendly and the food is always awesome! We love to come here for breakfast and I like that they also serve their lunch items during breakfast because sometimes I'm in the mood for other things. The portions are generous and the cost is fair. I love to get the soup with a chicken bacon ranch wrap. ?“
“If you're in Wausau and have a craving for authentic Mediterranean cuisine, there's a spot you simply can't miss. This restaurant has quickly become a favorite for locals and visitors alike, thanks to its exceptional menu and inviting atmosphere. At the heart of their menu are the Feta Gyros – a true masterpiece of flavors. Each gyro is generously filled with succulent meat, wrapped in a soft, warm pita, and perfectly complemented by the tangy feta. It's a dish that not only satisfies your hunger but also transports you straight to the Mediterranean coast with every bite. But the experience doesn't end there. The Greek fries are a revelation in themselves. Seasoned to perfection and cooked to a golden crisp, they are the ideal accompaniment to any main dish. These aren't just any ordinary fries; they're a culinary journey. And for dessert, the baklava is an absolute must-try. Each layer of this sweet, flaky pastry is a testament to the chef's attention to detail and commitment to traditional flavors. It's the perfect ending to an already delightful meal. This restaurant isn't just about great food; it's about the experience. From the warm, welcoming ambiance to the attentive service, every visit is memorable. Whether you're a Mediterranean cuisine aficionado or trying it for the first time, this place in Wausau is sure to impress. Don't miss out on this culinary gem – it's a dining experience you'll want to relive again and again.“
“We came in tonight for our anniversary dinner. I have Sensitivity to loud noises but we love your food. Our waiter Abraham was great right off the bat. We were trying to order and they started yelling for a birthday I think and I shut down and plugged my ears. He waited til they were done and apologized, than said he could ask them to turn down the music and than if he was inbetween customers he would come over and warn me before they were going to yell again. I have learned in life that there isn't very many people in world who would go out of there way to help someone who is has special needs. Thank you to this amazing young man for going out of your way.“
“Excellent dining experience. Greeted immediately, sat promptly and greeted by our waitress in reasonable time (even with a live band and busy atmosphere thanks to Valentine's Day). Typical starter of cheese curds, great texture and batter. Nice flavor. The meal was the star. I enjoyed a classic burger, well-done, with fries. It was tasty, not dry, and had a great char-broiled flavor and the fries were perfectly crispy. My husband had the Elk burger, medium done, with truffle fries and said it's the best burger he's ever had. I highly recommend this spot for a quality appetizer and/or meal. Our waitress (Rose) was attentive and friendly, but not "overly-present" (which I truly appreciated). Overall very happy to spend my time and money here.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available.Dietary restrictions: Cauliflower pizza crust was an option I saw on the menu!“
“We were very pleased with our service. The waitstaff were awesome seeing that our very large group reservations were marked 18 instead of 8. They accommodated us nicely and the waiter who took our order I think noticed I wore hearing aids, that he came around and knelt down to ask my order when he stood to take all the others was so impressive. It really made my day. It was my granddaughters wedding supper.“
“Had the pleasure to have Truman as a speaker at The Progress Center for black women ? I collected a lot of pennies along the way! Thank you for all the information and teaching different types of social media content. Branding is your story! And yours is a great story to tell!Grabbed my bags on my way home!Funky fresh in my air fryer at the moment and freezer“
“Went for weekday breakfast with an 8-top. Service was great, food was amazing (kids loved the Belgian waffles, my bacon skillet was out of this world, and others had bacon/eggs/hash browns that were eaten heartily). Will definitely return when back in town.Kid-friendliness: Kids breakfast menu was perfect. They had crayons and coloring sheets, too.Wheelchair accessibility: Tables had chairs and the hostess, upon hearing we had elderly guests, immediately offered to pull out chairs/add an extra table if anyone had mobility issues or needed extra space for walkers, etc.“
“My wife and I like to look for local gems whenever we travel and this place looked good. Boy was it! The food was incredible! I got the brew burger, smothered fries, and a huge pretzel with beer cheese dip. I washed it down with a Kentucky Vanilla barrel Ale and it was perfect. My wife got a pulled pork sandwich with fries and washed it down with a mango White claw. Both of us were very pleased. The atmosphere is just your average home town tavern and was just the kind of thing we look for. Everything was very clean as well. If we make it this way again we'd be delighted to stop in again.“
“Came to this restaurant as was told about $.50 boneless wings on Sundays. Got garlic Parmesan and Chipotle sauces which were both good. I had the salmon wrap which was fantastic with beer battered fries and my husband had the Beast burger with crinkle fries. He said it was good just a little dry for his taste. We both also had a Bloody Mary with horseradish, mine was spicy and his was not. He thought my spicy one was too spicy but I enjoyed it that way! Definitely want to go back again! On top of the food being great, the waitress was great, it was my husbands birthday so she surprised us with 2 shots that were so good I asked her what they were, she said it was pineapple upside down cake. She even held a candle for my husband to blow out. then when we went up to bar to pay for our dinner, she gave an extra chip to get a free drink when we come back. Much appreciated great service!“
“Food was excellent we go here or get pick up very often bartender is a great person atmosphere is great and constantly has great food that review by Steve Mcvay is one of the least realistic reviews I have personally ever seen tarnishing a local business is a terrible thing to do and it is a great place to eat at whether it be dinner or lunch. Highly recommend the burgers and chicken or fish fry if that’s what you like.“
“I traveled from Oklahoma for the weekend and i had two experiences with this restaurant. First was a DoorDash. I ordered a pizza and it was excellent. The second experience was at the restaurant. I ordered a patty melt and tots. The patty melt was excellent as well. Both experiences were great and the food was definitely delicious! If I’m ever back up in this area, I WILL come back to The Bar. Great job guys!“
“Read reviews about the pizza, so had to try it. It did not disappoint. Great sauce. Good cheese. Sausage very good. Crust crispy. Only negative was it was a little too salty. Couple next to us had the taco pizza, and it looked very good. Will try it next time. Great friendly service. Give this place a try!Kid-friendliness: More of a bar, so not kid friendly.“
