“I was in Fredonia for the day and I headed to Jen's Place for lunch. I honestly picked the place because of the name, it made me smile and think of my friends, "The Jens" ... After placing my order, the bartender said my name rather loudly, but I didn't recall giving her my name or any form of payment that would identify myself. Turns out she had my debit card, which was turned in to her by a local (regular?) and then returned to me. I was shocked that I hadn't noticed I lost it (likely by my car) and more shocked that it was turned in! Her reply to my gratitude, "Welcome to Fredonia, where the people are honest." I was so thankful for the patron and the bartender for their kindness and honesty. In addition, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding!“

“Stopped here yesterday 10/20/23 exclusively for the fish fry. The haddock dinner was definitely in the top 5% of all time on my long list of Wisconsin fish frys. Wished it was closer to my house than 30 miles. Will definitely be back again.“

We were welcomed with detailed information of the passion him and his partners have for creating a friendly inviting atmosphere, as well as their dedication to keeping the establishment clean, welcoming, and maintained. They are striving to continue to update and repair the property as needed, while preserving the history of the building. We were invited for a behind the scenes VIP look at the private party bar downstairs, which is breathtaking! The honesty, transparency and pride Craig expressed for this establishment directly represents how amazing it is to patronize. “Fantastic Friday fish fry. So many fish option. I went with the sampler platter. Walleye, cod and shrimp. The fish was lightly breaded. It came with all the sides you’d expect. Service was friendly and prompt. I certainly recommend. Go early, it gets very busy.“

“Joker’s 5 Bar & Grill had that classic local hangout feel—the kind of place where everyone seems to know each other. The burger was solid, the service genuinely great, and we even got in on a little dice game with the regulars. Seating is limited beyond the bar, but the bar itself is warm, welcoming, and where all the energy is. If we’d had more time, we definitely would’ve grabbed a cue and played a few rounds of pool. If you’re passing through, it’s absolutely worth the stop.“

“After a HORRIFIC night going to 2 restaurants prior (1. Was a hour+ wait & 2. was the WORST food we have ever been served in a restaurant leaving with only eating 2 bites.) We decided to stop at In Between the Greens on our way home in hopes to just eat SOMETHING for our date night before going home to get kids to bed. It was a busy Friday night and our wait for a table was maybe 10 minutes. Our waitress was quick, attentive, & the sweetest women! (Thank you Carrie for turning our night around!) the food was phenomenal as always! We highly recommend the Reuben or the Grilled chicken BLT wrap! Atmosphere is upbeat and pretty family friendly!“
