“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Manila Resto in Oshkosh, and I must say, it was an amazing experience! We arrived around 6:30 PM, and the place was bustling with activity, which is always a good sign. However, we did wait about 45 minutes for our starters. What really impressed me, though, was the exceptional hospitality. The manager noticed our wait and personally apologized, offering us complimentary dessert as a gesture of goodwill. We were treated to two pieces of Maja and four pieces of Turon, which were both delicious! To top it off, the owner came over to express his gratitude for our patience and to apologize for the delay. It’s rare to find such attentive service these days. Overall, the combination of great food and outstanding hospitality made our visit truly memorable. I highly recommend Manila Resto to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!”

“I’ve decided to try Beckets mostly because they were advertised on Discover Oshkosh as the host of Jazz Night on Wednesdays.
I tried calling to make a reservation but unfortunately my hotel phone didn’t want to cooperate and my UK mobile disliked the idea of dialling US numbers for whatever reason. So instead I chose to email them with the request and to my surprise I’ve received a response within 15 minutes. Well, certainly can’t complain about that!
On arrival we were greeted with a smile and taken to our table.
The decor of the place is rather modern, fairly simple lines and nice colour tones that work well together. Lovely view of the river and good live jazz music on Wednesdays. Toilets, although looking a little bit tired (old tiles that have been painted over) are clean and in good condition.
We were served by young Will and let me tell you something about Will. He’s quite an energetic and enthusiastic young man, very helpful and friendly and certainly knows his local beers! He helped us pick the right beers that went very well with our meals.
The food is very tasty and presented just like you see it in the pictures, it’s like looking at the culinary photoshoot but in real life on your plate right in front of you. Steaks were perfect! And so was the salmon! Chef certainly knows what he’s doing and takes pride in it too! Portions were just right, not too little, not too much.
Overall absolutely fantastic experience!
Let’s face it, Oshkosh as a city hasn’t got much to offer and isn’t really a dream holiday destination but Beckets certainly kicks it up a notch and makes it that much better! In my opinion this restaurant is number 1 in Oshkosh and definitely worth visiting!”

“I NEED to shout out this restaurant and I WISH I caught the servers name but she wasn’t our server. I came in to eat with my boyfriend and my toddler daughter about a month ago, two weeks after I had a hysterectomy. My daughter needed her diaper changed, I took her to the bathroom then immediately realized I forgot I’m unable to carry or lift her yet. I ran out to ask my boyfriend if we could ask if he could come in just to lift her onto the changing table for me, though he told me to try to ask someone for assistance bc there was also people in the restroom as well. As absolutely EMBARRASSING as that was I kindly asked the man at the front if there was a female available at that moment and I explained the situation for her. She didn’t even hesitate and helped me lift her up onto the changing table. I was so embarrassed but I had literally gotten sepsis already from the surgery and had to also have an extra procedure due to the infection and I couldn’t risk any further near-death experiences from this surgery. She was so sweet and I was so happy with not feeling absolutely judged or looking incapable outside of the circumstances. Thank you!”

He and his daughter took great care of us, they helped with everything from the minute we walked in. We knew this place was special and today just took it to another level. “I had the orange chicken with pork fried rice and an order of crab rangoons—everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor! The orange chicken had the perfect balance of sweetness and zest, and the pork fried rice was delicious on its own. The crab rangoons were crispy and creamy, just how I like them. On top of the great food, the customer service was incredibly sweet and welcoming. You can tell they care about their guests. Definitely one of the best Chinese spots in Oshkosh—I’ll be back! It was also priced so reasonably!”

“I have heard rave reviews of Cooligans pizza and had to stop in and try one. I ordered for takeout, so the cook asked me how done I wanted it. My plan was to reheat it on my grill, so they baked it to order and left it uncut. I thought that their crust was light and crispy, the sauce was not overpowering, and the toppings were generous (especially the cheese). The pizza would have also been a lot better with fresh mushrooms. I also tried the sauerkraut chili but wasn't impressed. It tasted like any other Midwestern chili. I would recommend stopping in if ever in the area.”

“We had a really large group of family members (about 20 people total including adults & kids) to celebrate my dad's 89th Birthday on Wed Nov 20th, 2024. We had a reservation for 5pm & when we arrived, they had our table all setup & ready for us. Our Waitress (Amelia) was at our table immediately with a big smile & a very warm & friendly welcome. Our Waitress (Amelia) was an absolutely FANTASTIC Waitress, one of the best that we've dealt with in many years! As we were all getting settled in, we had a few surprise visitors that joined my dad's birthday celebration. Our waitress (Amelia) was right on top of everything & she immediately added another table to make sure that everyone was comfortable while eating their meal & didn't feel like you were being crammed in like sardines while eating. In addition to that, Amelia went out of her way to accommodate my dad by making sure that he felt extra "special" while celebrating this 89th Birthday of his. She got him a "special" cocktail (yes, a bit of a boozy one, which he really liked) in addition to a Root Beer Float to enjoy after he had enjoyed his Birthday meal. I was watching my dad with that Root Beer Float & he was thoroughly enjoying that! All the adults in our group ended up getting the All You Can Eat Fish Fry for $9.99 per person (or maybe it was even less than that, I'm not sure, because someone in our group paid for everyone's meal!). OMG it was absolutely amazing ~ everything was very FRESH & HOT. The Seasoned French Fries were delicious, and the Tatter Tots were the bomb! We had the BEST TIME EVER thanks to our amazing Waitress (Amelia) who went out of her way to make sure that EVERYONE in our group was taken care of. She was so much fun; she has a great sense of humor, and she fit right in with our "wild n crazy" family! By the time we left that evening we were saying that our Waitress (Amelia) was "Our Sister from another Mister" & we asked her if she was going to join all of us for Thanksgiving!! Thanks again for making my dad's 89th Birthday so "special" for him. I think he felt like a BIRTHDAY KING for the night!!”

“My sister and I drove through the drive through around 9:30 pm or so on June 14. As usual, my sister and I were indecisive of what we want to order. We went back and forth asking questions to the the guy on the speaker. He never sounded agitated. He was very friendly and professional and repeated our order. Also, he has an awesome voice. He gets a 5 start. As we are waiting for our food a beautiful girl with a big smile came to the car and gave us our food. She was very friendly as well. She gets a 5 star. My sister told her that she loves the great customer services that Chic-Fil-A provides and the young lady smiled and said thank you. I would hire both of these individuals to work for me if I lived in Wisconsin. We didn't get their names but I am sure management knows who were on duty last night. Management, please let them both know that we appreciate the awesome customer service that they provided.”
