“First visit today at Beach Bum Bakery and it was an absolute 5-star experience from start to finish. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Huge selection of delicious bakery goods that were super fresh! The pumpkin carmel coffee paired perfectly with my cream cheese topped GF pumpkin bar! The ham and rolls were an extra bonus.The rolls were outstanding!!! Even though our drive to the bakery took 30 minutes, we look forward to many more early Sunday bakery trips to Pewaukee! “We ordered cheese cakes for our wedding from mama ducky. Melissa was awesome start to finish! She took time to talk with me with out an appointment.(I had been to 3 other bakeries and no one would even answer any questions I had with out a appointment) We like red velvet and Melissa made little trials of each red velet option for us to try. She was always prompt to respond to any messages we sent. The day of She delivered to the venue right on time. She truly cares about her customers. We would highly recommend her and mama ducky!“

“They are so yummy! You have to get there early to get one as they will sell out. Kind of shocked to see the 1 star review over them! The new people in our neighborhood must not know that bakeries are businesses with limited stock :) they can’t just pull more goods out of thin air. To write a review over not getting the item you want isn’t a review it’s whining. There are dozens of other yummy options they have amazing danishes. And the cake is UNREAL. My son and I will have out and play board games located under the tv.“

“Been to Rochester Deli many times over the years, mostly for their fish fries. This visit was specifically for bakery items, and that is when I learned that I have apparently been enjoying Periwinkle desserts all along. Their production facility is next door, but the baked goods are sold through Rochester Deli. I also learned that the deli owner’s daughter runs the bakery.

I came in hoping to pick up a few cupcakes and possibly a small round cake. There was only one cupcake option available, a Boston Cream, which did look good. Unfortunately, there were no cakes available, so I struck out there. I did grab a couple of the peanut butter cookies half dipped in chocolate, which are always a hit at my house.

The staff member who helped me apologized for the limited selection, but there was not much they could do.

Overall, I really enjoy their cookies, bars, and cake slices, and I will definitely be back for some of their regular items.“
