“We have driven by so many times and decided to stop this morning! It was so good, may be the best breakfast I’ve ever had. My husband got #5 and I got #4. I don’t like anyone’s French toast and rarely order it because I’m always disappointed. It was FANTASTIC! Everything was absolutely delicious and we will absolutely be back! Not only was the food amazing, but Sam took great care of us and her service was top notch!! ♥️♥️♥️”

“I went on a Thursday hoping for wings. They only have them on Wednesday.
So I got a perch sandwich and it was the best thing I've had in ages. Made me forget bout wings real quick!

“Awesome fried COD fish, excellent Wisconsin cheese curds. Cliff the owner is very nice, and accommodating, my husband is a disabled vet and has parkinson's, and he reserved a table. We had a wonderful time. We'll definitely go back when we return to wi.”

“If you go to this bar and don't like it or the owners Pete and Lori, you don't belong drinking in bars in northern Wisconsin. Great pizza, and good burgers, a fridge full of exotic cheeses for sale and a good time atmosphere.”

“We enjoyed experiencing the tavern and seeing Fred Smith’s photos and articles. It has a neat story and different artistic displays that explain Fred Smith as an artist and music lover. He often played his fiddle and mandolin while jingling sleigh bells that were tied to his knees.Look above the bar to see his watercolor portrait that has hung watching over the tavern for decades.We recommend stopping in, having a Fred Smith Lager, and checking the place out. And, if you’re looking for somewhere unique to stay, the upstairs has been renovated into an Airbnb. Guests can stay and also rent the Rock Garden Tavern for an event.”

“Great northern atmosphere and awesome owners. We stayed at the cabins with some friends for a snowmobile trip and cabins were very clean, owners were outstanding and very welcoming! Would definitely be back!”
