It is a simple diner, competently done. The menu fits on one normal sized page, I believe everything is cooked on a single grill. If you want fancy go somewhere else, but if you are looking for good quality simple food, in Platteville then, this is the place. The staff have not changed in years, or maybe decades, they figured out how to run the place and have stuck to what they know works. Nice, clean, \u0026 friendly diner. Had the ham \u0026 cheese omelet with a side hashbrowns. The portions are pretty decent here. When I got there it was 15 minutes before opening \u0026 the cook graciously opened the door \u0026 let me in early. Enjoyed the local vibe \u0026 the bathroom was clean \u0026 inviting just like the diner itself. Good experience \u0026 worth checking out for a morning meal.

Had the pleasure of eating at the Owl Cafe recently in Platteville, WI. When we travel, we like independent restaurants (no chains please) with charm, grace and personality. We found it in the Owl Cafe, a "joint" that has been in continuous operation for over 60 years!! The walls were covered with framed covers of Life magazine and lots of tributes to Marilyn Munroe.
