“We stopped off for a drink when we were visiting from Scotland, UK this February in the snow. The B&B leaflet says “arrive a guest, leave as a friend” and even for us who just stopped for a couple of drinks, that is how we felt. We were greeted with a smile, the atmosphere was brilliant and many of the locals were happy to chat to us. What a wonderful place, thank you for the welcome. Next time we will stay in their B&B, The Stagecoach Inn.“
“Stopped at Stilt House for an early lunch on a rainy Tuesday. It was not too busy and we got a table. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. They have a great selection of beers on tap. We ordered the Shrimp Tacos, Bulldog Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. The food was served quickly and it was really good. I definitely recommend and will be back again.“

“From the moment you descend the stairs, you feel like you are in another time and another world. Our food was delicious! The fish was hot and cooked perfectly. The steak fries came out piping hot and crispy. Our waitress was phenomenal! She kept apologizing for our wait (which we didn’t feel was that bad). We ordered Janet’s Carrot Cake for dessert and when the waitress brought it she said it was on the house. This gem in Port Washington is something you can’t miss.“
