“We had the Friday fish fry - I had the perch and a baked potato and my husband had the cod with fries. It was all delicious! The fries were hand cut and so good. The fish was perfect. We were impressed with the service and speed. We'll be back!“
“My husband and I were told this bar was a great place to have dinner and drinks. I will say we were not disappointed. Bar staff was very friendly, we never had to wait for a drink and the bar was well occupied. Food was good. I ordered a bacon blue cheese burger, yum! Bun was nice and soft but toasted on the inside. We ordered homemade potato chips one order spicy one one order parmesan. They were a little salty, between the two of them I preferred the Parmesan. Overall a great experience. Rip the bartenders well they are great!“
“A surprisingly friendly local watering hole. Things have been going pretty rough for me lately. I was in Portage on sorta a whim, placing myself in the care of close friends and family to help deal with a few things. I ended up going bar hopping with my best friend and a bud from high school that I haven't seen for awhile. We're about as different, the three of us, as people can be in terms of personality and I think it's fair to say we all had a pretty decent time. Drink options are pretty standard. Nothing to write home about there. I was a bit hesitant to stop in here at first because the crowd seemed a bit on the older side. Some folks closer to our age filtered in as we drank our drinks. The crowd was pretty friendly and struck up some great conversation about football and folks we all knew from around town. (Full disclosure: We found out halfway through our drink that the bartender was the mother of someone we went to high school with and we ended up sharing a lot of laughs relating to that. He wasn't a close friend or anything, but it's worth mentioning.)“
“I lost money on the buffalo gambling machine. Buffalooooooo!! Bartender Stacy, I think her name was was excellent. She likes when you order turkey clubs and they are fire. “Walked in today place was packed, waited to get a lane for 5 people and was only 20 mins. Had friendly service and tried a pizza, was the best pizza I have had in a long time! I thought it’s a bowling alley pizza but no it is probably one of the best pizzas in the area! Very impressed. Heard a few customers compliment the kitchen on the burgers too. Next time we will try one of those. Staff was great and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Haven’t been there in years and can’t wait to come back!
