“Best bar there is in Waunakee. Great burgers made fresh with beef from the butcher down the road. Go on Sunday for a great Bloody Mary made by Cheryl or Marci.Parking: Parking is slim in most instances out front along the highway. More parking is available in back.Wheelchair accessibility: Not necessarily wheelchair accessibly. I little work would need to be done to get in the establishment.“
“Best dive bar in town. Mel is the best bartender I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.Good music, good people & no judgment. If your fortunate enough to shake some dice you'll know what I mean. Have a better time each time I drink here!“
“Friendly laid back atmosphere. Great food and service! Friday Fish Fry 4th Friday of the Month! Shrimp is Excellent! Delicious Cod! They have a Walleye breakfast 2nd Sunday of the month that is very good too! A lot of food for your money. We will definitely be going back!“
“Stopped in after flight into town. Mac and cheese and soup were good comfort food. My friend had salad with eggplant.Lots of kids after school, family friendly place even though it has a bar. I would go back here in the future. Back again and the spinach and cheese pie, gyro, and salad were great.“
“Bowling here is fun only two issues are every time I go it’s always packed. But that’s because of how fun it is so I don’t mind waiting my main main issue is they got rid of rocky rococo’s the best pizza place on earth and for that I am deeply disappointed by the new owners bring it back please we all want it back“
“We had a wonderful experience at The Harvey House. The service was very friendly and personalized. The food was next level! We even had a surprise dessert come out at the end of the night to celebrate our wedding anniversary! I'd just been reading Unreasonable Hospitality and this place exemplifies that sort of fine dining experience.“
“Cocktails and Misto salad were fantastic. Pizza was ok. This was our first visit and we’ll try pasta next time. Waitress was great.Parking: We had a 5pm reservation and the parking lot was already full. Give yourself enough time to hunt down a spot in the neighborhood. Not too difficult“
“WOWWWW! As a non-vegan, I was definitely skeptical of this restaurant, but that was my mistake. This is one of the very best restaurants in all of Madison. It was so good that I went twice in one week because I couldn't stop thinking about how fantastic the food was! The service was excellent and Juan, the chef, made our experience super memorable. Make sure to get the chickpea paneer and the bao, they are both to die for! I'll be coming back (maybe again next week haha) and plan on taking all of my friends and family there to impress them. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Thank you to the staff for such an amazing dinner!!“
“Not much of a food selection but plenty of drinks and were real good. Lots of old classics and all, some might not work well and bartender just gave my tokens back without much questioning cause let's be real, They OLD CLASSICS but fun“
“Have heard a lot of good things about this restaurant. Overall we had a good time there and the food was good but I feel it’s a bit overpriced. The presentation was great but the flavor was just not to our liking. It’s a restaurant good for a date night with wonderful view and atmosphere.“
“We just moved to the DeForest area, and this location was recommended to us. We enjoy smoked meat and all of the associated sides, so we decided to check out out. We were warmly greeted, as if we were regulars, and quickly seated. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Our food was served quickly. Our server's recommendations were right on the mark. We really enjoyed everything. The cheesy potatoes and the cornbread were our favorite sides. I tried one of the platters to sample so that I could sample several mains. The ribs and pulled pork were favorites. The brisket was good, but not really notable, as was the chicken. The gumbo soup was also great. The meat was served "dry" and there were several bbq sauce choices to help take the food in the direction you enjoy. We've already returned and will continue. The prices aren't really a bargain, but they seem to do a solid business, so they're apparently appropriate for the local market. Definitely recommend.“
“I first came to Tempest last year on business and it absolutely blew me away. The food is out of this world, especially the scallops (which are some of the best I have ever had). The service is impeccable and you feel like you have been coming here for years on your first visit.I just came back to Madison for work and had to see if lightning strikes twice. Somehow they managed to get better since the last time I visited. The food, including the scallops, was even better than I remembered and I had dreams about them over the last year. The service was, yet again, amazing. Issac was my bartender/server and he was engaging and friendly despite the happy hour rush. Amazing service yet again. The staff here is fantastic and that, coupled with the food makes this a “must visit” when in Madison. I will look forward to my next visit with bated breath because this is truly a fantastic stop that I won’t miss anytime I am on in town. Come here, you will not be disappointed!!!“
“The food here is excellent (I've been about five times now), but I've noticed that "small Plates" seems to have become "tiny plates." My husband and I and another couple each spent $100, and I can't say I was satisfed. Not sure I will return. . . .“
“Been coming here for many years. I feel like it used to be better. They keep changing things and for me, it's gotten less great. They got rid of a drink I loved and now refuse to make it, they used to have an amazing pastry chef, who at Christmas time, made an incredible buche de Noel and when I asked about it last year, they said they won't have it again. They also used to have the most incredible raspberry princess cake, which also disappeared several years ago. In terms of the main menu, there aren't many vegetarian options. And you have to be careful, even with seafood, becausse sometimes there are meat or heavy ingredients added. The service is generally very congenial but inconsistent. For example, their outdoor seating has always been first come, first served but last summer, they were only seating reservations outside, because, we were told, they "overbooked" the restaurant. So, despite many happy times spent here, there have been several recent disappointments as well. One note: I see some reviews that call this a French restaurant but really, it's more like French adjacent. They aren't strictly French at all. Oh, and you have to pay for bread and butter.“
“Went for lunch with a friend. It was Badger home game Saturday so it was busy. We only waited a few minutes for a table. Ordered cheese burger & beer. Burger was cooked perfectly. It was on a soft bun and was juicy and seasoned well. Atmosphere was friendly and place was very clean. Will definitely return.Parking: There is street parking and area is safe.“
“Me and my partner found Cordial after being referred here by some of our coworkers, and our experience was so amazing on our first visit that we came back here for the next four nights. The staff here is so welcoming, we feel like we are home no matter who is bartending. We have gotten to know all of them very well, and they treat us like family every time we come in. And the fact that they are very LGBT+ friendly is only an added bonus. If you're looking for a chill, low-key bar with the most welcoming staff you will ever meet then this is your place!“
“The Ohio Tavern is as close as you can get to an old school dive bar in Madison. They food is cooked right in the bar area, and is mostly Mexican food. The nachos were delicious and the street corn was sublime. Service was good as well. It can get quite busy, and is louder than most establishments due to the small size. They only take cash and do not have a phone. If you want to maximize your chance of getting a spot - hit it up at an off time. We were there at 3:30 pm on a Saturday (non game day) and there were plenty of seats. At least try it once!“
“Definitely has character. Small but a fair amount of seating. Tried several food items, appetizers, pizza, dessert. Everything tasted great.Vegetarian options: There were a few good veggie options. Not a wide variety.Parking: Pretty busy area. May have to park a couple blocks away.Kid-friendliness: It's pretty cramped and loud. Not the best for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wide enough inside to maneuver a wheelchair.“
“I am an international student and live around the area. The Main Depot is a heritage bar. Its more than a bar, its a community of people of all ages. Undoubtedly the kindest people I have met at any spot in my 2 years in America.P.S**** = If you are lucky you can see trains passing from the bench on the backside. Enjoy ;)“
“Garth's is special not only due to their wide selection of rotating taps and large selection of craft beers/seltzers/ciders that you can purchase, but they also allow you to bring in food to eat which offers a ton of flexibility for anyone looking for a relaxed environment to have a drink. There's also a self-serve water/utensil station that allows people to enjoy their meals and stay hydrated effortlessly.I really enjoy coming here with my family to play some board games or just watch the hustle & bustle of Monroe street over a cold beverage. Staff have always been courteous and attentive during my visits, and the place is always very clean which goes a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere.“
“Fantastic Experience at The Log Tavern in Lodi, WisconsinBefore heading to a basketball game, my family and I decided to grab a bite at The Log Tavern in Lodi, Wisconsin. I must say, it was an excellent decision! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, perfect for a pre-game meal. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the pizza. It was phenomenal, with a perfect crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of toppings. It's clear that they use high-quality ingredients, and it truly made a difference in taste. We also tried the pretzel appetizer, which was incredible. The service at The Log Tavern was awesome. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It's always great to see staff who genuinely care about their customers' experience.Lastly, we had the chance to meet the owners, who were very cool. They took the time to chat with us and made us feel like valued guests. It's evident that they put a lot of love and effort into their establishment. Our visit to The Log Tavern was a fantastic experience. Great food, wonderful service, and a cozy atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area for a game or any other occasion. Highly recommend!“
“Great local neighborhood bar. Best whiskey bar in Madison. Also a very good craft beer selection and great beers on tap. With October almost here I had to stop by Bill's bar to try his Oktoberfest beer on tap and wasn't disappointed. It was great and a good size mug (see pic attached). You can find some of the most unique beer and premium whiskey selections in Madison. Great to support locally owned Madison establishments like the Malt House. There is no food kitchen, but you can get food delivered. Check out the Malt House Facebook page to see what nights local bands are playing here.Parking: If you get here early, there is a parking lot at the Malt House. On a busy night you may have to get nearby (free) street parking.“
“We held our wedding reception at The Madison Club and we highly recommend it to other couples! We loved the classic, timeless, and memorable look and feel of the Club itself, central location downtown, and found it especially beneficial that they offered so many wedding services. From catering (cake included in our selected package), beverages, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, day-of getting ready spaces, and an on-site event coordinator. This was very important to us as we didn't want to have even more vendors to coordinate with, and the Club being a "one stop shop" was incredibly helpful in simplifying our planning. They have so many options to choose from so you can offer more classic wedding meals or something a little more adventurous (which we did and loved). The food is truly delicious! They also provide a list of vendors recommended by the Club and we were able to work with a few of them for our day. Alex, our event coordinator, was so responsive, patient, and accommodating throughout our planning process which entailed many emails, questions, and changes :) He was amazing to work with! We were so pleased with how everything turned out and we will cherish the memories made at The Madison Club forever.“
“It would be hard to find a more authentic Wisconsin experience without driving deep into the state. Owner is a very nice guy, veteran, has worked there for years and took it over from the previous owner and has kept the history going. A friendly warm place.“
“Absolutely love this restaurant. Been 4 times, and tried something new each time (except street corn, we always get the street corn). It’s not your common Mexican, much more authentic. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, the service and friendliness of the staff is also outstanding. Already one of my go-to places!Kid-friendliness: They understand the value of friendly service, and they try hard to do it well. Bravo.“
“The bartenders are top notch at Players. This has my favorite burger in Madison, the cheesecurd burger, especially if Charlie or Wip makes it ❤️ only complaint is bar machines are really tight, the parking is terrible, and it's always crowded because it's super small. Worth it though for the food and drinks!“
“If your not running to this place, you need to be. Best bartenders and dive bar in Madison Wisconsin! Amazing beer & drink choices, great music, bubbly and fun staff. The environment is super inviting, friendly patrons to meet and become friends with! Get here and fast, they can't wait to serve you!!!“
“I would give this place 10 stars if I could! My car broke down and I rolled into the parking lot of the Springfield Inn. I was so lucky to have found the place. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful to my daughter and me. Thank you Kim!“
“What a great music club. Professionally managed, excellent accustics/sound, house piano, comfortable environment, and quality cocktails. Al books the best in jazz, blues, bluegrass, cabaret, local, regional, and national acts. If you love music and a welcoming joint to hang out in, you will love the North Street...“
“I can’t say enough about this wonderful bar. I was hesitant to write this review just because I don’t want this gem to get too busy that I can’t find a table! But of course this place deserves way more than a 5 star review. Staff is friendly (understatement), drinks are out of this world (understatement) and everytime my girlfriend says “can we go to Oz?” I can’t say no! Such a unique place and the staff are so incredibly accommodating. I could say wayyyy more great things but I’ll stop here for now!! Love love love!“
“I was visiting the Madison, WI area on business and wanted to visit a place to listen to some live Jazz. I located this bar on google. This is a small neighbor bar. I got there about 45 minutes before the band was scheduled to play. I was able to order some wings and onion rings for the pizza place two doors down and they delivered my food to me at the bar. By 8:00pm the band was setting up and the place was getting full. The bar tenders were getting really busy. The band played well. The service was great. The bar allowed me to run a tab with no cc on file. The locals kinda keep to themselves and I was ok with that. One couple ask if they could sit with me considering I had a table with four chairs setting along. They were friendly people. There were very few African American there i'm being one of them. Despite that I felt welcome and was treated well by the bar tenders. I would recommend visiting this place if you are in the area and looking for some live music to hear. :)“
“Solid choice for Italian food. Everything we ate was good. The pizza we had was tasty. Our pasta dishes were all good. We had the calamari for an appetizer, and it was kind of flavorless, but at least it didn't taste fishy. I think the breading could have used a bit more seasoning. The atmosphere is kind of fun, probably looks the same as it did in the 60s. Definitely the kind of place you can bring the whole family or a date.“
“Visited on a brutally cold Friday night in February. There was plenty of seating both at the bar and table tops. The bartender was super friendly and attentive and made our parties (8) drinks very quickly. The inside is very cozy and an awesome selection of 90's alternative music was playing.Would definitely be back to pregame if I have an event in the area.“
“Just wanted to leave this on here.My name is Rico and I was Mitchell's Merchant Experience specialist here at Evergreen Payment Solutions I managed his account for the first 90 days.He was a pleasure to work with and I give this Business 5 Stars Hands down!“
“This is a speak easy that needs to be on the map. If you are looking for a great place to eat in Madison, you really need to find this place. It one of the best places to eat in town and is completely different than the average restaurants around town. I ordered a Chicken teriyaki type dish and it was amazing. This place packs a punch when it comes to flavor! Even their Wisconsin Old Fashion is amazing, if you have never had it you better ask for it quick and make sure to ask for a second before you start the first one. The vibe is great for a date night or just to hangout with some friends. The next time I'm in town I will be eating here again. I loved it.“
“We took a niece and her young children - who have numerous food allergies - and we're able to get excellent meals because of the excellent manner in which the menu lists the ingredients. All of the food was well-prepared and tasty and the service was first-rate, too. We have to go back!“
“Attended Muskellounge's Three Dots & A Dash collab. Drinks were spectacular, and the kitchen staff were on fire. We ordered a weekly special (burger/cheesesteak blend) and the chicken tender basket. 10/10 fantastic. I would strongly recommend checking this place out if you haven't yet.“
“Different twist on classic supper club offerings, but all delicious.Pork chop with cherry compote was superb. Had the charred carrots based on reviews and they did not disappoint, unusual and delicious. The burnt apple jam cake was absolutely amazing.“
“My friends and I love Tornado Room. We were doing a “martini crawl” and stopped at Tornado room for their late night menu. Ben is such a great bartender and made FABULOUS martinis with stuffed olives. This will be our first stop next time.“
“Without exaggerating, the brisket taco and carnitas taco are some of the best food I've ever had. 11 out of 10. I can't recommendthem enough.Vegetarian options: They have a section of the menu that is just vegetarian tacosDietary restrictions: I don't know what, if any, practices they use to prevent cross contamination but they have clearly marked gluten friendly options and my mom who has celiac is planning on trying some of them so I'll update this review with the feedback.Parking: There is a side lot to park in but spaces are pretty limited. If they are busy, parking will likely be full. Also, the parking spaces aren't very wide so if you have a truck or larger tires on a Jeep it might be a squeeze.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is kid friendly. I saw a few young kids (maybe around 5 years old) but there is a bar and most people are probably drinking so take that into consideration.“
“I ordered the Mushroom Chicken. It was delicious! Two tender grilled chicken breasts and a very nice fresh mushroom sauce. Large enough entree for two to share. It comes with a choice of side so I went with the roasted potatoes and it was perfect with the mushrooms chicken!“
“A nice little country bar nestled in a picturesque unincorporated community of Martinsville, WI just south of U.S. highway 12 and about 10 miles north of Middleton with great food and a friendly accommodating staff. Their hamburgers are great and daily lunch specials will not let you go away hungry.“
“We went this past sat with friends. 5 of us had drinks plus food. Were in no hurry and susie was busy.. former owner. Tamtam. (TAMMY) also off duty stepped in. We had so much fun. Plus the burgers were stellar. We all.loved our food ham n cheese plus the bacon burger roll ups. We got a couple great songs from susie. We cant wait to visit again. I'd say go. 5 of us plus drinks under 70.00. Run there and support your local small town establishment. I hope they remember us when we return. My mouth is already watering for a burger.“
“Oakcrest is exactly what Oakcrest wants to be, and that is absolutely amazing. My wife and I come here for Tuesday dates while the kids are in school, and we've never had a bad experience. I can't recommend this place enough. Best burger in Madison!“

“This a quintessential Wisconsin corner bar where neighbors come to watch the Packer games have a great burger and adult beverages. I love places like this. It may be your first time there but it feels like you've been coming here forever.“
“Stopped in tonight before 5pm...very busy, The bartender was friendly, but probably a bit overwhelmed. She didn't seem to be too bothered, however, and continued serving drinks. We didn't get food on this visit (short on time). From past visits I know you'll have to wait a bit for food. Food is traditional bar food....burgers, pizza, fried yum. The burgers are tasty.“
“The Frog Pond has become our go-to for a consistently good Fish Fry and great burgers, We try to go every month for the burger of the month, which are always unique and an amazing deal at $7.50. This month was a "Benny Burger" - fresh hamburger patty, ham, fried egg, and Hollandaise. We weren't sure we would like it but it was delicious. If you haven't been here yet give it a try, it's truly a hidden gem for good food.“
“We loved our stop at Woody Anne's! Mona was a delight and met our every whim. Her "Do I look like I need help?" attitude was a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed Emil's pizza and a few beers while running the jukebox with some long-forgotten 80s tunes. We can't wait to come back to check out the "longest shuffleboard table in Madison"!“
“This bar is a gem!! Great atmosphere! Drinks are very reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and welcoming! How can you not love a shake of the day and pull tabs!! The outdoor seating is great in the summertime! Perfect place to watch a packer game!!“
