Simply put, one of the best bars in Madison. The Up North Wisconsin feel right here in downtown Madison. Love the family over at Up North especially Teresa and John! Easily 5 stars.
Definitely a corner stone in the community.The only downfall is no music outside in the lot.Someone / s' ?who should stay in the suburbs decided to complain about the noise while they live in a city on a very busy block. Makes one wonder if it's just some developers, trying to put the place out of business to build more buildings that won't even last 70 years. . Quality of quantity Madison, please ..

The UpNorth bar is its own special experience. Depending on the person this may be a great or terrible place to visit. It's a local watering hole. Nothing super special about it. If you know the local crowd who frequents this establishment you'll like it. If you don't, and have no interest in that.. don't come here. It's usually young d*** men.
