Stopped here for the fish fry as it has been voted Madison’s best for a couple years. They had a great selection of fish fry. A lot of places usually have your basic beer battered cod but this place had three different options with different breading as well. The jalapeño popper dip was amazing. I ordered the vegetarian beer cheese soup, which was OK but I thought it would’ve been better if it had more cheese. It tasted more like a loaded baked potato. I went to Dexter's with a group of 4. We were seated right away, it was not crowded so not noisy, & our wait person was prompt & friendly. He gave a great description of Brew Fries. They're the extra crispy & crunchy kind. Love them!! I had a Special of Salmon Patty BLT!! It was DEEELISH!! The salmon was moist & nicely seasoned, the bacon & lettuce crisp, & the tomato slices firm & a generous thickness. Stop here after reading that they were voted one of the top 3 fish Fry's in Madison and it did not disappoint me. Fish was outstanding. Excellent beer battered and flavorful and nice crispy waffle fries. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend and definitely #1 fish fry in Madison.
