Hungry House offers great food at reasonable prices. The catfish nuggets and mashed potatoes remain popular choices among customers, while some find the chili more like tomato soup. The restaurant is nice and clean, with a pleasant atmosphere that is not too busy, although some describe it as older and a bit dark. The service is friendly, with a warm and inviting staff, though there are occasional lapses in attention.
While servers are generally attentive, there have been instances where requested items were forgotten, possibly due to training a new employee. Food is typically served hot and in a timely manner. One customer mentioned enjoying the everything omelette with hash browns and bacon, noting the bigger chunks of ham. Another recommended the scramble platter, which includes scrambled eggs, hash browns, and ham covered with melted cheddar cheese. Many customers, including a picky 9-year-old, continue to return for the satisfying meals. Additionally, the restaurant has a Vietnamese menu featuring great lemongrass beef and spring rolls, making it a gem worth checking out.
