Heads up that the park is under construction today 9/23/2026!! It looks like online it is closed through Friday 9/25/2026. We weren’t able to go sadly, but wanted to leave a review so that others don’t drive out and waste their time!!

Amnicon Falls State Park is a beautiful and well-maintained destination with a gorgeous view of the falls, easily accessible from the Covered Bridge lot. The park's scenery is reminiscent of Zion National Park, with a stunning waterfall area perfect for swimming on a hot day. The geology of the area is fascinating, with signage and a self-guided tour available. Visitors can enjoy the park's natural beauty in any season, whether in the summer or spring, and can't help but be captivated by the soothing sound of the falls. The park is open year-round and offers plenty of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, picnicking, and swimming. Visitors often explore all the geological views along the trails, and many enjoy walking the trails that run along the river and waterfalls. The waterfalls, including Snake Pit falls, are especially popular, with some trails leading to more waterfalls the further they are followed. Many enjoy the views from different angles and the chance to go into the water. The park’s small size makes it easy to explore all the trails in just a few hours, and the scenery includes many woodpeckers and lovely waterfall views.
