“Tried to call for a take out order last night, but the call did not go through. Not the end of the world. Drove over and put my order in. First time here while visiting friends from out of town. The two soups that I got were piping hot and the dinner I got (Snow Peas & Chicken) was very tasty. No complaints about the service or the food. Thanks for dinner.“

“This is my go-to Chinese takeout. I usually get Pork Lo-Mein, General Tso's Two Tastes, and either Crab Rangoon or Pork Dumplings and every time it's delicious. The portions are large, and easily makes several meals for me and my wife. Very good food, very good value.

“Chinese food in Madison is very hit or miss in my opinion. So I’m always on the lookout for different restaurants to try. China star was next on my list and it didn’t disappoint. Now it does have its differences than other Madison Chinese restaurants. I would compare this to a Chicago Chinese restaurant. The fried rice doesn’t have peas and carrots, and a lot of dishes have sprouts which is a plus in my book. The egg rolls were perfectly prepared and the egg foo young (complete with sprouts), was very fulfilling. The beef and broccoli were pretty basic but the meat was very tender and flavorful. Definitely would recommend and plan to go back to try more dishes!“
