“I'm always on the lookout for a good Chinese restaurant. I had the Seafood Delight, and it did NOT disappoint. It was served hot, which is a first. I can usually start eating right away. I got my order within 10 minutes of ordering, and have so far waited 15 minutes for it to cool. THAT is awesome!
The rice was cooler and a smidgen bland, but I just mixed the rice into the sauce, and it was *mwah*- delicious. The meal was VERY flavorful, and reasonably priced for the amount you get. It has been the best Chinese I've had so far in Madison.“

“super nice people and a fun atmosphere. unfortunately the jian bing had this odd bitter taste to it that I think came from the overcooked eggs and sauce-- there wasn't a balance between the sweet bean sauce and the spicy sauce so the bitter spice ended up overpowering everything. kind of made me question if jian bing is really supposed to taste this way? anyway that being said, the people are, again, super nice and friendly and helpful. would like to come back for the braised beef noodles, jiaozi, and shrimp dumplings!“

“This is our favorite place in Waunakee. Fresh vegetables, always hot, and delicious! Just be warned that if you ask to add a side of vegetables they’ll charge you $8 for a vegetable entree 🙄“

“The best food and vibes in Madison, no contest. Regulars here, and treated like family. Erin & Rita create the perfect at ease vibe in the dining area to compliment the mastery that goes on in the kitchen. (Erin went out of her way to return my forgotten wallet!) I really can't praise this place enough. If you're a recovering Midwestern pallet like me, Dan Dan & Ryans Chicken are the gateways to paradise. I can't have Dan Dan anywhere else now - if it's not Hutong, its not Dan Dan XD“

“The place is crusty and dark, the food is greasy but plentiful, the service is fine. If you just need lots of food for a cheap cost don't mind the slop, this spot is great. I will say it does hold quite a bit of cultural significance for the student population, and is a core exp of studying here.“

“I’ve been coming here for over a decade.
I live in the neighborhood and we usually walk here, or order ahead and pick up after work.
The service is fast and accurate.
They offer classic dishes and american fusion.
We always order rolls and two dishes to share.
The orders are always right and the portions are big enough to share or have leftovers.
I recommend trying the steamed veggies and their sweet dishes.“

“I don't have a sweet tooth, so their baked goods are irrelevant to me, and I've yet to try their entrees, so I'm no real judge of their menu - I'm here to sing the praises of the sticky rice wrapped in leaves (bamboo?) - It's the blandest thing that I find satisfying (And I enjoy the real hot Sichuan up Park St at Ichiban!) The bit of chicken, the soft peanuts, the subtle herbal flavor imparted to the rice by the leaf wrap - It's just good (The rice is certainly cooked in broth, verging on pudding, but it's not any sweeter than the rice alone might make it.) It's comfort food, and it will keep me coming back, especially at $4. Think medium/ large baked potato with butter or sour cream for an equivalent lipid-starch satisfaction.
(2 minutes each in the microwave if you carry them away cold.)“

“This was my first time ordering here, and I can't wait to order again! I had the crab rangoon, a spicy beef dish with broccoli and onions, and lo mein. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. They even included what I think was a pork roll, and it was really good too.
The portions were generous - I got three meals out of one order, which made it a great value. The staff was kind, and the food exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back! I am a very selective eater as well, this was important to me.“

“the shrimp and egg over rice was really good, but my stomach started growling and grumbling and squealing a couple of hours after the meal. maybe the eggs weren't the best quality bc I had the craziest poops the day after... but again it tasted rly good! lol
braised pork over rice was pretty good but just sliiiiightly bland. could have used more soy sauce I think. not much meat when you take the fat off but pork belly is the traditional way of doing things so understandable! service was just okay, atmosphere also just okay“

“’ve stopped by a few times now, and this place is a total winner! The lunch special is phenomenal—we’re talking generous portions, authentic flavors, and super speedy service. It’s the perfect spot if you want high-value Asian cuisine in a relaxed, counter-casual setting. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, I can't recommend it enough!“

“I've been coming here since I was a child, it has always been such a solid place to go to and the owners are wonderful people.
It is interesting to me reading some of these other reviews. Ive noticed customers being rude to the owners and selfish in peculiar ways that seem against normal interaction. The people working here are people. Its Chinese, there are vegetables. I am a bit tired of these types of reviews I am seeing under some restaurants.“

“We wanted some Chinese food, did an Apple Map search from our location and found Chopsticks. We had a fantastic meal! Parking was on the street and we were lucky to get a spot close by. The service was friendly and great. We were between lunch and dinner, so it was not crowded. We had Deep-Fried Veggie rolls to start and they were a great start while I tried to decide on what to order because there were so many great choices. I did a build Your own Bento Box and my wife did the Chicken Teriyaki and both were really good. We will be back because the food was great, the service was great and it was a nice place to eat.“

“For Asian-American fare, I was pleased. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken lunch. The breading wasn't overwhelming, the chicken ratio wasn't disappointing, and the sauce met expectations for consistency and flavor. It didn't blow my mind, but it was tasty. It included fried rice and vegetables. I was surprised an egg roll was added. I was too full to eat it, however. Food was plenty.
I did not check on the quality of the ingredients or whether this restaurant uses MSG, artificial colors or flavors, emulsifiers, preservatives, GMOs, or anything else.
I'm judging strictly from presentation, quantity, relative freshness, and flavor, and what you would expect for standard asian-american fare.“
