“We stopped in yesterday with a very large group and they accommodated us immediately. Our waitress, Maddie, was amazing. The owners both were super helpful and kind. A truly sweet family. Our drinks and food came out much quicker than I would have expected for such a large group. Everything was perfect. The younger kids enjoyed the arcade area, while the adults played darts and threw axes. We will for sure be coming back next time we are in the area. “THE BEST COFFEE of my life!!! At the first sip of their Columbian Medium roast (with just a touch of cream and sugar), I froze in my tracks. Time stopped. I was overcome by the astonishingly satisfying flavor and balance. I forgot about all of my problems, for just a moment, and sunk into that perfection of their roast. It's rare for me to find that perfect balance of flavorful and bold without being overly acidic or bitter, while also not being watery or too weak, and THIS was it.

After that first sip, I had to tell someone, so I told Robert who was working behind the counter, just how much I loved this coffee. Robert was, from the start, so incredibly friendly and helpful, and a real pleasure to talk to. Robert warmly thanked me and said he'd pass my compliment to the owner.

For the next hour, I sat in the small, but very comfortable seating area, and began what I came for: To get on WIFI and work on my laptop and try to get something meaningful done. Not only did I get it done, I basically redesigned my worklife. I attribute my success in this (which I'd wanted to do for months) to the positive energy of that Columbian medium roast, the friendiness of Robert, and the warmth and optimism of the guests and staff that came in.

As if this wasn't already an amazing morning, Robert also introduced me to the owner, Sean, who told me a little about his roasting process (this has been his passion for 20 years!) One by one, really friendly people and staff came through the doors, and Robert introduced me to basically everyone that would be good for me to know in the local arts and music community, of which I am a new member.

I left Pinky Promise and went on to have probably the most productive and satisfying day I can recall in probably the past 5 years.

“Had a coffee and scone and they were both pretty good. The coffee and espresso were on the lighter/weaker side. So I would recommend getting an extra shot if you are used to a stronger flavor. Cool interior with lots of unique pieces.”

“Our family favorite. Seen this place from 30 years ago and every year since. The menu is basic American fare . Food is good, hours are wonky but we don’t complain, ambiance is on the most beautiful place with fast efficient service.

I remember as a kid the game room and bar that stuck out taking up the entire restaurant. Then our distant cousin bought it, reconstructed the inside and began selling pizza but closed then after and sold to someone who named it “the Tin plate” (didn’t last long at all lol..) and now the current owners - which is a perfect fit. Always top tier service, so SO glad to see this place serve its intended purpose exactly how it’s supposed to be 🩵”

“I have had Dan’s kitchen twice, once in house and once through DoorDash. Both times I was very happy with my food. I’ve had the pho, pho broth was good! Didn’t have to season it too much. The laab was good both times and the pad Thai was actually the best pad Thai I’ve had in gb. Definitely recommend 👍🏼”

“5 stars for a well oiled family diner! The hostess sat us right away. She asked what drinks we would like, and brought them to us herself. Soon enough, our waitress was at our table and took care of us promptly. we were there on Mother’s Day so they were very busy. It’s a local diner and everyone was very friendly. Our food was served hot and fresh. This was our second visit, and we won’t hesitate to return.

Vegetarian options: There are not a lot of vegetarian options except for standard breakfast fare.”
