Ordered my favorite, Salmon Skin, and it was awesome!! Owner is very friendly and offers great advice from the menu.
Very clean and although not spacious, it was comfortable. Point being that when this gets firmly on the map (literally as they are not yet on Google maps), prepare to be patient. Our family had almost every aspect from the menu, the calamari app was perfect, the edamame although not a difficult dish was fresh and tasty, the tuna was SUPER fresh, eel/avocado roll was superb, Ramen noodle dish, several others rolls, and veggie curry. It was busy tonight but they had friendly service and the food was delicious, their rolls look and taste amazingly delicious! We sat the sushi bar and the chef made some amazing rolls. I will be coming back to try their other dishes.

Hana Japanese Restaurant is a hidden gem, offering some of the best sushi in the Madison area and southern WI. The prices are fair and the food is excellent. The service is always wonderful and quick, especially for favorites like the Shrimp Tempura Roll. The restaurant is always clean with a bright, pleasant atmosphere, and it is super cozy and cute inside. The main dining area is clean, though it can be a little confusing figuring out which door is the main entrance. The sushi didn’t disappoint, and the gyoza, chicken teriyaki bento, soup, and sushi are all delicious. It is super affordable, and anybody who enjoys ramen or sushi would definitely recommend it.
