About Bootleggers

Bootleggers Lodge is a very nice place to go for dinner, offering a cozy atmosphere and a beautiful inside. The remodeled space takes advantage of the lake views and has a relaxed and sophisticated ambience. The bar is well staffed and upgraded with a focus on fine wines and craft cocktails.

The food is often delicious and exceptional. Dishes highlighted by guests include the amazing French onion soup, the rich and flavorful lobster bisque, the perfectly cooked king salmon, the wonderful tenderloin, and the absolutely melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu ribeye. The walleye fish fry and a fillet are also enjoyed. For dessert, the crème brûlée is pure perfection. Drinks like the spot-on whiskey sour are recommended. A note is that some popular dishes, like a certain chicken dish, can run out.

Service is generally friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional, with staff members who go above and beyond to deliver impeccable service and make the evening special. However, there can be significant wait times for reservations, with some guests experiencing delays of over an hour past their booked time, which can be disappointing. Overall, Bootleggers Lodge is considered a must-visit in Tomahawk for outstanding food, drinks, and service.

Great food and beautiful place. We will be back. A little disappointed with our server but we think she was overwhelmed with tables?? We waited a fair amount if time even to place our order. We did not hear specials, asked about appetizers and when done no dessert suggestions. She was pleasant enough but it could have been better.

I will definitely come back!! Great food and beautiful location with excellent service
