Dinner was amazing! The catfish cakes are always yummy, the spinach artichoke dip was delicious, and our meals -- shrimp and grits, peposo, chimichuri steak -- were excellent, and of course, the service was on point.
Most amazing steak dinner my husband and I have ever enjoyed! Mouth-watering taste of heaven...
My band and I make a kind of home of Trempealeau Hotel. We love playing and staying there. The food is top notch, the staff is warm and welcoming. The surrounding area is beautiful (you can walk along the river or go hiking on trails nearby). It’s a special place, and good people are called there.

Trempealeau Hotel, Restaurant and Saloon is a historic, circa late 1800s establishment offering great wine choices and an impressive food menu. Must-try dishes include the Egg Roll Bowl, braised beef over polenta, and the Walnut burger, which is a customer favorite and surprisingly meaty for a non-meat option. The restaurant provides indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful river views, and on some evenings, live music performances create a lively atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a friendly, kid-friendly environment, with scenic surroundings perfect for walking along the river or hiking nearby trails. The staff is warm and welcoming, with servers like Deb providing attentive service, explaining the menu, and checking on guests. The food quality is top-notch, featuring dishes such as lightly breaded and baked walleye and delicious desserts like Stout Choc. cake. The view of the Mississippi River adds a relaxing touch to the experience, making it an ideal place for a one-night getaway. Parking is plentiful, and the place is clean and simple. Reservations are recommended for group dinners due to the scratch-made meals, but burgers can be ordered without reservations. While gluten-free options are limited, the atmosphere remains casual and authentic, with live music adding to the charm of this special spot.
