8 Best American Restaurants near Viroqua

“Small town cafe with a big city taste! My wife had the Mac n cheese for her entree. Absolutely fabulous. Served in a cast iron skillet which added to presentation…but the taste…delicious. I had the burger. I was a little hesitant to order the burger as I’ve been disappointed by burgers so many times. But before I get to the burger let’s start with the fries. Cooked to perfection! Crispy, warm, and full of delicious French Fry flavor. Now the burger…you know how some places dress up a burger all over only to forget about the burger itself? Well that’s not what is happening here…the bun was great, the house sauce was great, the greens were crisp, the cheese was amazing, but the burger was so full of flavor and it was the star of the dish! That was a 5 star burger!! 🍔 Best I’ve had in Wisconsin since moving here 2 years ago. Job well done Driftless Cafe…well worth the hour drive here. Keep the flavors coming….till next time!!“

“Israel, a employee of this establishment, was the nicest waiter i have ever had. He is a hard worker and needs a pay raise. I talked to him for less than 5 minutes and I can tell he is a wonderful man. He has 2 kids at home and I know he makes a great father.“

“We have been working on a josite near Viroqua for the past 3 weeks and have ate here almost every day for our lunch. The service and food have been outstanding. The wait staff have always been astronomical and fast. I commend the cooks for the delicious meal and quick service.“

The staff is all new and it totally changed this place. Much nicer people working here that bring you what you ask for instead of fighting the customer. The food hasn’t changed much which is good because the food here has always been good. Although the place lost its 90’s warm fuzzy appeal it’s still very nice and look forward to coming back.“

“I've eaten at KOS several times and it's always a memorable experience. From cocktails to dessert, they rarely miss the mark. The wait staff is superior: friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is warm, subdued and quiet in the low table room, so no shouting to hear one another, even when they're crowded. It's absolutely perfect for a romantic couple's night out. Last night's meal was Gumbo with jumbo blackened shrimp (fabulous!!) and one of the weekly dessert specials, a delicious cranberry pavlova. The chef here is as good, or better, than any in the region, including LaCrosse. \nI highly recommend this gem of a restaurant !!“
