Royal Deli on Merrill Avenue may be gone, but the owners are continuing to make outstanding food one day per week out of their home. I just found this out, and immediately put in an order for their three weekly offerings. Not only did they deliver it to my workplace for lunch for a very fair fee, but the food was exactly as I remembered it from the days of dining in at the Royal Deli restaurant. This place has excellent food and service. It’s clean and bright. Definitely my new go to Thai restaurant in Wausau.
I love their food. Freshly cooked & hot. I hope it will be open again. Love their calamari, papaya, but please if they ask for mild, moderate, too much spicy please do it. Coz its like everything is too much spicy because i have kids n am sharing our food with them. Probably you can cook your food as normal in default then you could just have spicy sauce on your condiments.

Royal Deli offers freshly cooked and hot food. The calamari is a must-try, with its delicious tempura batter and seasoning. The pho is also highly recommended, with a variety of condiments and sauces available. The broth is good, noodles are not soggy, and tendons are not too soft. The egg rolls are fresh and hot, and portions are generous. Overall, Royal Deli is a great choice, with great food and huge portions.
