“Incredibly legit northern Chinese restaurant. As an ABC (American born Chinese), I was literally the least Chinese person there when we went. Seems like the whole Chinese population in Milwaukee knows about this place, and it definitely deserves the recognition.

They have an extensive menu, but their northern style foods really stand out - dumplings, noodle/soup noodle dishes, and certain stir fries that are more specifically from northern China. Our favorites that we ordered were the 地三鲜 (eggplant, potato, and green pepper) and 麻辣汤米线 (spicy soup with noodles?).

Their food does seem to run on the salty side, but it’s also because it is mostly intended to go with white rice.

“It you want great, authentic homemade Chinese food…….this is the place. Honestly, the best chicken fried rice you’ll ever eat, amongst everything else. Great family restaurant, they work so hard, remember their customers, and every single meal is made to perfection. Hadn’t been here in a while since we moved, we were lucky enough to be in the area and stopped in, amazing food as always. Give New No. 1 on 76th & Oklahoma Ave a try if you haven’t , no BS.“

“I went there to place a order couldn't use the coupon due to power out the woman who I think was the manager got my order wrong over charged for things not requested it's lent we don't eat meat on Fridays meat was in it n charged $12 Xtra for it for not having no customers how could they of gotten it wrong plus called over 10xs n it hung up not sure if it's due to power I need a manager to fix this please“

“I did quick pickup for my coworker and myself and it was a great noodles experience. My order was ready when it said it would be, the staff was warm and friendly, hot food was hot, dining area appeared clean, and I already know to ALWAYS order extra sauce, so we were pleased with our order.“

“Noodles and company have been a favorite of mine ever since I was a kid. Despite developing a gluten allergy, they have remained one of the few places I can get food from. On 5/25/25, I placed an online order for dinner and didn’t think much of it. After working a 12-hour shift, I needed some good food to help me unwind from the day. I sent my boyfriend to pick up the order, and on the ticket, there was the sweetest message I have ever gotten written on it. I cried once reading the message. Thank you for the kind words, Yari. “The food was really good. My wife and I both really enjoyed the food, however my wife got really sick after eating the Kimchi Dumpling Stew not because of poisoning but because the Kimchi they use for the stew must be made with a shrimp paste(common in making Kimchi). So if you have a seafood(shellfish) allergy (she's not anaphylactic so no worries there she just gets extremely ill) please be aware you may not be able to eat the Kimchi. I also recommend not sitting in the window tables during the afternoon hours, they don't have blinds on the windows. Other than that I do recommend eating here.“

“This is one of those places you know will taste good because of the old run down feel it has to it. The spring rolls and egg rolls were SO good. 10/10. The lemonade was also very good. My husband had pho and liked it, I tried something new, pad sieew and didn’t love it but that was my fault on choice I’d say. Overall would recommend!“

“I went in last night while staying at children's hospital with my daughter. I got there 20 minutes before close, (which I hate doing to businesses) apologized and told them why.
I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta. It was fresh and delicious. To my surprise, they put 2 cookies and a rice crispy treat in the bag! It had been a really rough week and they really brightened my day.
All of the employees were kind as can be and I appreciate the thoughtfulness/kindness they showed me. Thankful for them for making me smile : )“

“I came into Noodles & Company just before closing, fully expecting a rushed or limited experience but I was blown away by how warm, welcoming, and accommodating the staff was. Naraiah greeted me with a genuine smile and never made me feel like a burden, even though it was the end of a long shift.

My food was freshly made, perfectly cooked, and served with the same care and attention you’d expect during peak hours. The team clearly takes pride in their work and customer service, no matter the time of day. It’s rare to see that level of hospitality so close to closing, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Huge thanks to the crew and especially Naraiah you turned a quick dinner into a truly positive experience. I’ll definitely be back!“

“It was clean. The man behind the desk was so welcoming and kind asked me after words if I enjoyed the food even came to me and shook my hand. Never ever felt so welt at a restaurant/fast food. Now the food. Amazing. Hands down on crack. I will most definitely be coming back. I didn’t catch his name but if anyone that works here knows who was working at this time on this day that I posted.
