“I've eaten at KOS several times and it's always a memorable experience. From cocktails to dessert, they rarely miss the mark. The wait staff is superior: friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is warm, subdued and quiet in the low table room, so no shouting to hear one another, even when they're crowded. It's absolutely perfect for a romantic couple's night out. Last night's meal was Gumbo with jumbo blackened shrimp (fabulous!!) and one of the weekly dessert specials, a delicious cranberry pavlova. The chef here is as good, or better, than any in the region, including LaCrosse. \nI highly recommend this gem of a restaurant !!”

“I hesitate to write such a glowing review because I don't want to draw others to this hidden gem in Westby. My fiance and I visited over a quiet Sunday and it was so incredibly... pleasant. I don't think I can think of a better word to describe it. The view over looking the vineyards, the smell of wood fired pizza, the quiet conversation out on the shaded deck. Absolutely phenomenal. Bonus points for turning non-wine drinkers like us into not only finding MULTIPLE kinds we enjoy, but leading to us walking out with 6 bottles in hand. Phenomenal pricing and service as well. Now don't share this because we want the place to ourselves :P”

“Had one of the best dinners ever! A pork chop with rosemary sauce over mashed potato which was a special for the night. The flavors were incredible snd the pork was very tender. My compliments to the chef. I truly enjoyed every bite.”

“If you're looking for just a quiet place to rest. It's not bad. But it is outdated and not really any amenities. Convenient store is the check in desk and have to call in by 730 pm for a room.”

“I've had complaints with this location in the past, but today they got it right. They were well staffed, took care with how they made my sub, and were friendly and polite. I took it to go, and when I got home, it still looked like a sandwich. Seriously better than the haphazard sloppy way they were put together.”

“The food and service were both very good, except they forgot both of our pickles! (Oh, the humanity! Lol).

The inside is pretty plain, though they do have various items for sale such as cutting boards, t-shirts, and stuffed animals. It looked like there may have been an area for kids, but it was closed off.

In a rare move for me, I forgot to take pictures. I guess I was too hungry.

Well worth stopping at for a bite! I believe some of the money made goes to charity, so eating here is a double win. :)”

“Small town cafe with a big city taste! My wife had the Mac n cheese for her entree. Absolutely fabulous. Served in a cast iron skillet which added to presentation…but the taste…delicious. I had the burger. I was a little hesitant to order the burger as I’ve been disappointed by burgers so many times. But before I get to the burger let’s start with the fries. Cooked to perfection! Crispy, warm, and full of delicious French Fry flavor. Now the burger…you know how some places dress up a burger all over only to forget about the burger itself? Well that’s not what is happening here…the bun was great, the house sauce was great, the greens were crisp, the cheese was amazing, but the burger was so full of flavor and it was the star of the dish! That was a 5 star burger!! 🍔 Best I’ve had in Wisconsin since moving here 2 years ago. Job well done Driftless Cafe…well worth the hour drive here. Keep the flavors coming….till next time!!”
