“We stopped at Dixie’s yesterday. The owner came out and greeted us in the parking lot to let us know they were having a little event for friends and family and that their first day open would be Wednesday. He was very nice and offered us ice cream which was excellent and invited us back for opening day. The ice cream is over the moon good and I can’t wait to try the food. This shop shares a space/doubles as a restaurant ("The Take Out"). Parking is a little tight since it's downtown but we made it out okay. There's a little bit of outdoor seating and a few tables inside but it's mostly to-go. They serve Hershey's brand ice cream and have a large selection, including sugar free and dairy free options!

The space is very cute and has lots of fun stickers/posters/decor. Service was fast and friendly!

I wasn't wowed by the flavor selection -- it didn't super suit my preferences -- but we did come at the end of the day at the end of the week, so I certainly could've had better luck at a different time.

We all wound up with Moose Tracks (vanilla base, fudge ribbon, peanut butter cups) and it was enjoyable, like all Moose Tracks! We were happy and it was a nice way to round out our time in WV. If you're looking for a treat, this is a good option!“
