Check out these Beaver Mexican dining hotspots.
“Stopped in early to try their breakfast for the first time the other day, I was out of town and found myself in a small town in WV called Beaver. There were the usual fast food joints in this little community but I'd had my fill of places like McDonald's and the like so I opted for something new or at least new to me. I may have been the first walk in customer of the day because they had just opened and the place was empty of diners and nobody was tending the cash register either, but fortunately there were kiosks where you could place your order and take your time doing it too.My wife was with me and we both selected what we figured would be good and patiently waited for our food to arrive... it seemed to take a bit longer than we thought it should but we didn't complain because we weren't really in no rush. After a bit we determined the reason for the longer than expected wait was due to the fact that there was but one lone employee taking care of the entire establishment, I mean this young lady was cooking, taking orders from the drive thru, tending the front counter and doing it all very efficiently and most importantly our order was accurate and fresh and served with a very unexpected good attitude despite the overwhelming amount of work that should never be placed on an individual employee for what you know is a very low wage. The food was delicious, the place was clean, our order was correct, and best of all we didn't have to listen to any belly aching about how bad she was being taken advantage of in the workplace... I wish I would have cought her name because I surely would have complimented her by name in this review and I also would have pleaded to her manager to give her a healthy increase on her paycheck for the stellar job she was doing that morning. So if for some crazy reason you are that young lady and you're reading this I would like to personally thank you for a job well done and my wife seconds that opinion as well.By the way it was Sunday June 4th 2023, right after the doors opened... you probably won't remember us but we'll certainly remember your hard work and great attitude that day.“
“In town for business and decided to stop in after reading another online review for this place. The reviewer stated they were from Texas and was looking for some authentic Mexican food and found it here. My expectations were not all that high because, well we are in WV - wow was I blown away with the food here. By far one of the best Mexican dinners I have had in over 20 years since moving from Southern California. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh! Service was great too! If I ever find myself back in Beckley, WV I will definitely return! To all the locals, consider yourself lucky that you have such a gem here in town!“
“Love the food ! Very polite , needs work on waitresses to do their job instead of standing and do their actual job . Prices to high and they make to much food for one person . For example I'm 115 lbs and 5'2 and they bring me a plate of food that over flows and I have to bring home extra food bc I eat so much that it hurts my stomach bc you can't stop eating it. But I would recommend it to everyone to go .Parking: It's a big parking lot for front and backKid-friendliness: They have kids menusWheelchair accessibility: It's easy to come in and leave“
“My wife and I have continued to go there over the years as loyal customers. We recently started going to other local Mexican restaurants to mix it up because Rio has started to "slip" on usual services and orders. Sometimes its as simple as just needing napkins. Today our waiter clearly could Not understand my basic order even as I literally pointed to it on the menu. He came back twice to clarify despite me requesting the item without any modifications or special requests, and he came back to clarify that we had ordered lime margaritas with salt yet our margarita glasses had sugar on the rim. Iv never been anywhere sugar is used in place of salt. The new young serving crew is costing this business more than they realize. We have literally been going here for over 30 yrs and this is the second time this year that my wife and I said "If this was our first time going here we would never go back ". The food has always been consistent for the most part which is why we go back however Im not convinced their chips are made fresh daily anymore.“
“If you're in the mood for Mexican food, but want something different from the traditional Mexican food in the area give Rancho Grande a try. They offer great Mexican food like none of the others have. The food is very good, service is very quick and the atmosphere is very chill and fun.“
“Good choice for fast food Mexican...I did enjoy the experience. The store was really clean. The service was spot on - super helpful and friendly staff. The food quality was great. I rated it 5 stars because they executed the dining experience very well, considering it is fast food.“
“Genuinely one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. The prices for what you get are amazingly affordable, especially right now with everything being so expensive. Service is fast and excellent, and the wait staff are really friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. If you go, definitely try the birra!“
