Lewisburg's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“Four stars as a Mexican restaurant but FIVE stars for a Mexican restaurant located in a teeny tiny airport in the middle of West Virginia! First of all, this is a good place to go even if you are not flying into or out of Greenbrier Valley Airport/Lewisburg/LWB. It is open consistent hours throughout the week, has an extensive menu, and a full bar. It also has outdoor seating, with a view of the surrounding mountains AND of planes landing and taking off. We have been a few times, mostly for quick bites before departure, so we haven't really investigated the menu. The complimentary chips and salsa are quite good, pretty sure salsa is made in-house, not in a can. It is thin with some heat, very tasty. The margaritas are perfect, exactly what you are looking for in a classic style, not a craft style, but not overly sweet. Most of the entrees tend to be adjusted for BEING IN WEST VIRGINIA (i.e. not terribly spicy, and tend to have more cheese sauce than is truly necessary) but who is complaining? There is an actual Mexican joint serving margs on Sunday in the middle of nowhere!“
“Good place , well went to snow shoe during October 4th week and believe me there is nothing to eat up there on the mountain, everything closes by 7, none of the restaurants are open during October. Had to travel almost 2 hours to get a good lunch. We do have the subway which was life saver and low the crew there.“
“It is honestly cheaper for me to order takeout than it is for me to cook for 1 person. The food and service are always good!Vegetarian options: The authentic chili rellenos is delicious, and I love the retried beans with the guacamole salad!“
“Just went there for lunch today (Monday) with my husband and 2 friends and it was so good! We got tamales, chori pollo, quesabirria, lunch fajitas, and the patron carnitas. Everything by including the service was great. We are marking it on our maps for the next time we go to the mountains to stop there!Vegetarian options: Chips, salsa, tortillas, rice, beans, queso, pico, salad, soup“
