This place is a jewel of Buckhannon. Come here to step back in time and appreciate what Dairy Queen was about from the start. The owner is out almost daily ensuring the building and surrounding areas are clean and kept fresh.This is a walk up only establishment with outside seating surrounding the tiny, yet fantastically retro, building. Seldom seen, a walk-up Dairy Queen. Can't go wrong with a DQ dessert. Street parking right in front, including a handicap spot. I'm sure there's a historical story attached to unique building...maybe I'll delve into it on my next visit.

the girls that work here are so nice and polite! the service is always good. they get your order done very quickly. i love the little outside seating areas behind the building. the ice cream is always amazing. i’ve never had a problem here! it’s been a favorite for years, all throughout my childhood into my adulthood. i love how they add new flavors of ice cream every once in a while!
