“Of ALL the places in Wardensville & Lost River, The LR General Store is the best store for variety. They offer great lunches, fresh & delicious, plus amazing treasures upstairs in their Lost River Vintage section, and so many unique items in the lower part of the store to buy for yourself or as fantastic gifts! Not to mention the delicious ice cream & baked goods! We can never leave without something sweet! I noticed in my travels through Hardy County, there are many other fine stores. Maybe too many that are trying to copy each other, but this little store has my vote for being a terrific one-stop shop, eat, & relax on the beautiful grounds of the Inn & Store. We like to sit on the screened-in porch or at a picnic table. Perfectly located to satisfy all, including our four-legged family members. The recommendation led us to an incredible place that was perfect for our family of 7, both human and furry members alike. “? This review is to confirm that as of January 2024, RHouse is still by reservation only. I can not edit the hours to reflect that, and I want others to be aware!My partner and I stopped in to see what RHouse had in the ways of cocktails and appetizers for a little late night snack. As we walked up, we noticed that it said reservations only on the chalkboard sign outside. Dang!We went in anyway just to see if maybe that was just an old overlooked sign, if maybe they were still able to seat us, or if we could go ahead and make reservations for the following day.The owner was warm and friendly, explained that they were indeed reservations only, and had us write down our name and information in the appointment book so he could let us know if they were going to be open the next day (they were in for a snowstorm in the area). We wrote down our information and said goodbye. We weren't in there long, but from my brief time inside, I can say that it looked nice, very cozy, and well decorated. As for outside, the porch was cute with decorations and lights. The parking lot is gravel, and there are some stairs to get up to the door, I'm not sure if there's another way into the building that's wheelchair friendly, so just keep that in mind.Unfortunately, the snow and ice prevented us from being able to actually enjoy RHouse. The owner was kind enough to send a text letting us know that they were not going to be open due to the snowstorm.If we ever are in the area again, we'll definitely be making reservations to stop in.”

“Sunset has been around before my time. My mother used to work there many many years ago. I finally took my kids to eat there they loved the breakfast. No other restaurant can beat their breakfast. Their prices are amazing especially in this day and age. The waitresses are great so tip them well.”

“We visited Lost City, WV last weekend and went out looking for dinner. We found O'Neills. What a wonderful find for dinner. The food was outstanding and the service was spectacular. Our waitress gave us a recommendation for breakfast the next morning and she didn't steer us wrong.”

“Had a blast at the Spoke. It’s a great stop for food & drinks if you’re on your way to Canaan Valley.The bartender and staff were great, they also have a large outdoor (covered & heated) pavilion with a new sound system set up for live music. I am excited to go back!”

It’s a very down to earth place with a family friendly atmosphere.Vegetarian options: The veggie fajitas are top notch! I loved them so much, I’ve had them both times I’ve gone, so I haven’t tried the other veggie options.”

Our waitress was a kind young lady named Brandi she was honest, nice, and came around multiple times to check on us. We went around 3 p.m on a Thursday to give a little more detail. We will be making our way back here next time we're in Moorefield, as we live close to an hour and a half away! “Great food, great service, and wondeful atmosphere. I stopped in for a signature "Big Daddy" pizza with some friends and was mesmerized by the utopia of flavors that penetrated my taste buds. To my suprise when we left the establishment we were bombarded with stress balls from parade goers for the annual "Poultry parade" then in a dazed and excited state I turn to see the building next to us is a shop called "Mountain Mamas". Needless to say I am now a big daddy mountain mama Moorefield fan! 10/10”

“Colts I'd a pretty good family restaurant. Food and service isn't bad and prices are pretty good as well. Atmosphere is outdated however it does bring back memories of when I was a kid. Wish the menu would get some updates maybe even some new items. Bur overall not a bad place to take the family and prices are responsible as well”
