Shonet's Country Café is a popular local restaurant among both visitors and residents. The café is known for its delicious food, including the Dave's burger melt, Reuben sandwich, and white bean soup. It also offers a salad bar and homemade pies, such as banana pie. The service is fast and friendly, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The steak is a thin, diner-style cut, served at the desired temperature with good seasoning. Although the bread is served with vegetable oil spread instead of butter, it remains enjoyable. Many customers appreciate the solid country cooking that can remind them of simpler times. The restaurant has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, and the staff are often praised for their kindness. Prices are reasonable, with a meal for two, including tip, costing around $20, although some find it a bit pricey. Overall, Shonet's Country Café is a great place to enjoy good food in a warm setting, and visitors often say it is worth the trip.
