“I was a stranger to this establishment. I was only a stranger when I entered because after a few minutes I felt like a local stopping by for a slice of pizza.I ordered four items, Vegetarian Pizza, a Fried Pepperoni Roll, Cinnamon Rolls, and Miniature Pepperoni Rolls. The flavors of all four were beyond my expectations. They were wonderful !!! The Cinnamon Rolls are OMG GOOD !!!!!The owner and his beautiful girlfriend are friendly and they go out of their way to ensure that you have exactly what you want.I felt at home very quickly and the locals were just as friendly. I met a beautiful woman by the first name of Candy and we enjoyed a lovely conversation about life in Newburg. She was a treat !I highly recommend that if you are traveling on Rte 92 and your travels take you through Newburg, WV. You owe it to your taste buds to sample anything on the menu at Matt’s Pizza Shop in Newburg. I have had pizza in NYC and Old Forge, Pa. “On vacation and we were looking for a place to eat, couldn't have found a better spot. My girlfriend and I had the Grandma Goldies sub which is a pizza on a roll! The sauce is homemade in house, cheese is cut in house and dough (not rolls) is made in house! The owner (Lisa) was great to chat with (we were the only ones there). The sauce reminded me of my grandmothers when she made pizza in a cast iron skillet.Unfortunately Google only has 5 stars but this place is a 10 in our book! “The dude that waited on us, sorry I didn't catch your name, he was awesome and patient. We were a group of 6 with children and the adults couldn't decide what to get. In all we had a chance to try salad, hoagies, pizza, boneless wings, chicken tenders and french fries. Everything was great. Their pizza was the best and the dough is made daily by the same dude that assisted us. Prices are fair, food is great.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice big ramp, flat inside, easy table access.“
