“I ate here recently for the first time. The outside of the restaurant is far from appealing to me, but the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” applies here. I had a pork chop with fried potatoes, pinto, and cornbread. Absolutely delicious my partner had a roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and fries. Very, very good. For dessert we had some type of coconut pie, which I’m not a fan of pie, but this was very good. We also split one of their huge chocolate chip homemade cookies that is to die for.

There’s nothing like homemade fried potatoes, cornbread, and pinto beans. It’s hard to find that anywhere in Charleston aside from your own kitchen.

If this place underwent a makeover, it would likely attract people from diverse backgrounds & generations.

Did I mention my order was HOT & CORRECT?? And the portion sizes are HUGE. 2 people can share 1 dinner.

“It has a great parking lot right beside it that I love to park in while I eat at the Subway 50 yards from Checkers. Haven't actually eaten checkers in years. But it's OK. Just like Rallys.”

He remembers what I buy every morning and has it ready and waiting for me. Great customer service from this young man! “My son lives in St. Albans. I visit him every other weekend. We LOVE Bammys. We have only ordered hotdogs FF and onion rings. I would love to try some of their other menu items, but we don’t have good hotdog places near Beckley so it’s definitely a treat for me! The staff is super friendly and are orders have always been right. If you go there and it’s busy don’t worry the service is fast! I wish they wasn’t 1.5 hours away or I would order there at least once a week!”
