“Very Happy to find Brenda's Backwoods Grill. We were traveling through WV on our way to a family reunion and stopped in here for dinner. It was wonderful. The atmosphere is one of family hospitality. The prices are reasonable and the portions generous.Of note is he fried bologna sandwich. It is a thick slice of crispy pan-fried bologna on their fluffy homemade white bread. Get it with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. If you are not local (as I am not) this might sound weird. Put aside those biases and try it out. You will be thrilled. The chili is also excellent. Get in on a burger or dog, and go whole hogger and load it on some cheese fries. When you are done, whatever is on the menu today for dessert, get it.Great job Brenda's. I hope we return your way soon.“
“It was harder to find the entrance than I thought it would be but it was definitely worth it. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered a double cheeseburger with the expectation that they would probably be small patties, they were much bigger than anticipated. The service was quick and very efficient. I will definitely be back.“
“It was cold and snowy and to our delight we stopped at B & J's. What a homey and delightful place. As soon as we walked in we felt welcomed and like family. We ordered the special which was homemade creamy potato soup with a fried ham & cheese sandwich. It was so warm & comforting. We couldn't help ourselves but had to try the homemade pies. The staff were friendly and I can guarantee we will be back again. If you're in the area stop you will not be disappointed and the prices were great.“
“If you are ever in the area make sure to come out of ur way for this place. A tiny unassuming restaurant that has completely blown me away. The owner was extremely nice and was kind enough to give me details of the place though he was clearly busy. I had the lobster roll. It was light, buttery and all the ingredients went together perfectly.“
