“I've been to many restaurants run by state parks and this one was definitely one of the best. The menu is smaller, but everything we had was done well. The brisket was excellent and the beef stew was extremely flavorful. Mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious, as were the baked beans. Phebie, our server, is an asset to this establishment and was friendly, efficient and helpful. I would definitely go back if I'm in the Blackwater Falls area again.“

“Laid back, friendly, and very affordable restaurant. 4th visit there and the food is always exceptional, and the service is great. I was never a fan of pepperoni rolls until I had theirs ... they made a believer out of me! The pulled pork sandwich was excellent, and the chicken pot pie (from a previous visit) was" just like Mom used to make!" Like many places in Davis, parking is a challenge. Do not be deterred by a full lot; they still probably have tables available, as they can seat a good many. You can park on the side street behind the restaurant.“
