“Today was our second visit to Joan +Joe’s. And it did not disappoint. The Midwinter Latte was SO GOOD!! My husband got his hot & I got mine iced & both were delicious. Last week my husband got the Caramel Dream & he liked it as well. Very good quality. And the whipped cream is so yummy too. The staff is so friendly & welcoming. Looking forward to many trips in the future“

“Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. An interesting old building wonderfully restored, with seating on multiple levels; an outdoors balcony perched over the street below, where you can sit and read or simply observe, unseen by pedestrians, shaded and with a fresh breeze. A small, quiet courtyard out back surrounded by the ancient rocks and blooming plants, secluded from street traffic. A friendly staff. Pups welcome. Delicious coffees and teas. And as scrumptious a pastry as any I’ve had, anywhere. Arrive at 7:00 when the baked goods are piping hot and fresh out of the oven and it’s an experience you’d be hard pressed to improve upon.“

“Excellent & unique flavors offered each month. The Expresso Milkshake if a must try with any of the coffee flavored ice creams. The flight is a good start as it’s just enough to try flavors with 4 mini scoops for families and/or a date or friend. We’ve been fans since the beginning and if you like love poured into a homemade product this is your time to try it out. Enjoy!“

“Came to Burnt Bean Coffee Co. for the first time this morning with my fiancé! I got a hot dirty chai & he ordered an iced mocha latte. Both drinks were DELICIOUS. The barista was so kind and welcoming. She explained their spring menu to us and filled us in on the rewards program. I can’t wait to come back!“

“Went there for the first time today; the coffee is delicious!!!! Blueberry muffin was rather large so I took my time eating it. I love how friendly the place is and feels. I’m hoping to learn about volunteer opportunities at some point. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back.“

“Was in Shepherdstown with a group of friends and we ate here TWICE in one weekend. Great variety to meet everyone's needs (Vegetarian, GF, vegan, meat-eaters alike). The homemade soups were fantastic, salads amazing, sandwiches substantive. Will return next time we are in town!“
