“Today my mom, my sister, and I went to Outback in memory of my dad. Today was his birthday and we lost him a little over a year ago. We ordered a beer for him and had his picture on the table. Our waitress was an absolute gem and the manager came over to express her sympathy to us and give us a smile. When we went to pay we were told our meal was on the house. We’ve always loved Outback and this extremely kind act is a reason why.“

“My husband and I live several hours away in Ohio but we come back every October to Marietta to visit family. It’s always around our wedding anniversary. We have been coming to The Galley to celebrate for the past six years as a tradition and each visit is amazing. Our supper on Friday 10/25 was no exception. Everything from the appetizers and drinks to the entrees and desert was scrumptious and our server Dustin was excellent. He truly went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. “They have excellent food. The chips and shells are particularly well done and the rice is fluffy and delicious. The only problem is that the salsa is subpar, quite bitter and not tasty. The salsa alone is what keeps this from being a monthly consideration to a quarterly option. Compared to their outstanding chips, the salsa is beyond a disappointment and more of an a disgrace. The entrees are well portioned and come out hot. Service is typical.“

“I love everything about this place. It starts with the lovely building with the beautiful front door. Inside the ambiance is lovely, lovely furniture and decorations. Mexican music is playing at just the right sound level. The staff are always friendly and the prices more than fair. Everything is always so clean even the bathrooms. The food is plentiful and delicious every time. My test for a Mexican restaurant is usually Carnitas. Most places make them dry. Every time I have ordered them here they have been delicious moist and juicy!! Absolutely our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.“

“The agency I work for hosts seminars at Colombo’s several times a year. We absolutely love it! Out of the dozen+ restaurants we’ve used for seminars, this one is truly a well-oiled machine. Not only is their food delicious, but their customer service is top tier. Our party sizes range from 20-40 people, and they handle it like pros every single time. Although I live an hour and 1/2 from Parkersburg, Colombo’s was still my choice for Valentine’s Day dinner. Can’t say enough good things about this place 😃“

“of all their locations this is by far my favorite. Food is perfect, staff and manager are very friendly and helpful. It is easy to get a table for 2 even during the busy times. Larger groups may have a wait but not long. Calling ahead might help.“

“I am not a typical bar person. I was looking for the best restaurants in Parkersburg and this place was towards the top of the list. I looked over the menu and was surprised at how many different options they had. I had the thick cut bologna sandwich. Wow, when they say thick cut, they mean thick cut. It was atleast a quarter of an inch thick. The downside was that it was just the sandwich. There were no sides. I this was a shame because the sandwich itself was over $7. But, I could not complain too much because it was very good. The sides are extra, but they come in huge portions to share with the whole table. I was in a group of 6 adults. The wedges were more than enough for everyone. Our waitress was great and was helpful with the menu. Some of the menu was a little hard to navigate, but she was great in explaining everything.“

“Sally and the team at House of Wines put a beautiful catering spread together for our anniversary party. All of the food was excellent with a great presentation. The anti-pasta shrimp skewers and the deviled eggs were the main hits, but everything was excellent. It was very reasonably priced, and delicious. Highly recommend! I will be in to to the restaurant for dinner in the very near future!“

“On our way to North Carolina from Ohio and we stopped by for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was amazing. The building is beautiful and the food really was a great finishing touch. Had quesadillas and pepperoni rolls with probably the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. Definitely a must stop.“

The grapefruit IPA was a standout as well, with a nice mix of juicy citrus and traditional hoppy flavors. Liked it so much I grabbed a 6-pack to go. “Literally the best experience I’ve had at ANY Texas Roadhouse. The food was PHENOMENAL. Their steak marinade for the steak kabobs will definitely be hard to top. Whoever’s working in the kitchen knows what they’re doing. Additionally, our waitress was AMAZING. She was confident, quick, made sure we had everything we need. “Every single time I have been at the Boathouse, no matter how busy, the staff has always been prompt to seat us and super-friendly. The food is always great and the atmosphere is what keeps me coming back! The only thing I would love to see is either the fire pits in use or patio heaters for the cold nights to add warmth to the fabulous views.“

“I just moved to the area and was looking where to find Chinese food and I was directed here and my God am I thrilled I found them. I ordered take out, 5 different entrées, all of them delicious and packed to the brim. Some places don't fill the take out boxes, these guys PACK it in! I was able to feed 2 grown men, a picky 2 year old (who loved the food!) and myself with plenty of left overs for a very reasonable price. The lady even threw in a rice I said I didn't need, which I thought was thoughtful. I've definitely found my go to Chinese food restaurant!“
