“My wife and I have eaten at the Dog Haus for years. The owner and employees treat us like family. The food, including desserts, is homemade and very delicious. Ribs are excellent. It’s your fault if you leave hungry, cause portions are generous. Overall a great place to have lunch or dinner.”

“We are very fortunate in Parkersburg to have THREE five-star restaurants. We had guests from Columbus and went to Southern Craft tonight. We had no wait (WVU game televised), prompt service and superb food—ribeye, short ribs, burgers, salads. Yum all the way around. It’s now been two years since it opened and we hope it’s here to stay.”

“They have excellent food. The chips and shells are particularly well done and the rice is fluffy and delicious. The only problem is that the salsa is subpar, quite bitter and not tasty. The salsa alone is what keeps this from being a monthly consideration to a quarterly option. Compared to their outstanding chips, the salsa is beyond a disappointment and more of an a disgrace. The entrees are well portioned and come out hot. Service is typical.”

“Always a quick delicious lunch. Small place in a strip mall but the food is good and it usually doesn't take too long if you have to wait for a seat. The staff has always been friendly and I've only had a time or two when my meal wasn't exactly as I asked.”

“We had the tortellini bar, bistro burger and turkey provolone sandwich. Everything was hot, fresh and so delicious. The garlic bread with the tortellini was amazing. We love supporting our local restaurants. Great value as well! We will be back!!”

The Root Beer Shack has delicious french fries!!! I should have known they'd be good since everything else I've ever ordered from there is so, so good.”

“Today my mom, my sister, and I went to Outback in memory of my dad. Today was his birthday and we lost him a little over a year ago. We ordered a beer for him and had his picture on the table. Our waitress was an absolute gem and the manager came over to express her sympathy to us and give us a smile. When we went to pay we were told our meal was on the house. We’ve always loved Outback and this extremely kind act is a reason why.”

“I LOVED this experience! The server, Olivia, was patient and knowledgeable. She was also very attentive without being disruptive. The food was FANTASTIC! I love the idea of "all you dan eat" but not a physical buffet. The food was also really quick to get out, but nice and fresh. The price is a bit higher than I like paying for food, but it is ABSOLUTELY worth the price. I will be returning for sure!”

“Maka Mia Pizza has a lot going for it: The quality of the food is super consistent. While some restaurants are hit and miss, Maka Mia is always good and always fresh. Prices are totally fair. AND, one of my favorite things about this restaurant, is that they are super involved in and generous to our community. Keep it up Maka Mia team!”

“The gentleman that took our order could use a little bit of customer service training. I have worked in customer service for 20 plus years and the motto I was taught was smile,greet, ask how many I help you. I don't know if it was his first day but he just stood there. I had to ask him if he was taking orders. He also forgot to get the sweet tea I ordered. I had to ask another employee to get it for me. Also I ordered an 8pc chicken nugget meal and got a 3pc chicken tenders meal instead. This was my first time here. I've heard all this hype about how good the food is and honestly I'm not impressed.”

“Wow! This place was great! From the wines to the owners. Their knowledge is impressive and they know how to tell their story and keep you interested all while enjoying your tasting. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. They have a beautiful dog, Cooper, who is super friendly. I'm glad I found this in my Google search for places to visit in Parkersburg. I would come here again! Absolutely enjoyed my visit!”

“I recently used there catered menu for work employees appreciation meal. To feed 35. Ordered on line, simple easy to use, had a couple questions, got answered easily. I choose to pick up and food was ready exactly when I requested it to be. It came with stands and little burners to keep hot, very easy and simple to use/setup. Come with everything you need, bowls, forks, serving spoons and tong’s, etc. And the food was very good, everyone enjoyed! I give two thumbs up!”
