All in all I really enjoy the Proud Cit Saloon. Employees are nice, western appeal and style and food is good. A couple of my personal recommendations are: Steak salad - get it medium rare and definitely use the horseradish dressing even if you get another to accompany it. Visited on our way to Yellowstone (surprise surprise). The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and there was a nice outside area to sit that also had a bar. My mom and I both had a steak; they were cooked perfectly and very tender, but lacked seasoning extremely bad. However, the seafood chowder and fries were amazing. Would be back again to give the steak another shot.

Great place for lunch with really amazing burgers. Steaks are just ok. Asked for a 12 oz medium rare ribeye and it was cooked medium to medium well which I don't blame on the cook because the steak itself was super thin. I'd be generous if I said it was 1/2". I'd be willing to bet it wasn't a full 12 oz steak before being cooked. If I'm gonna pay $40 for a steak I could just go anywhere else and get a better one for the same price.
