We came to see Reckless Rooster and the Ranch play and ended up staying for the Wellington. Bonus points for the moose on the golf course behind me while we were eating and enjoying the music.The food was excellent. We (of course) ordered the Wellington with a baked potato and the Brussels sprouts. Every bite was was delicious. This place knows how to cook. The Brussels sprouts weren't over cooked and the flavor was something that I'm going to go home and try to recreate. The Wellington...where to start. You should probably just go try it yourself.Rooster was worth the 200 mile round trip excursion. I will be doing it again. It was a perfect date night.

Came to see Reckless Rooster play, fell in love with the western wellington. The mushrooms are to die for but don't fill up on those. The western wellington, a Mallard's original, is beyond delicious. Get the brussel sprouts as a side. ?

Pinedale doesn't have a whole lot of decent food options when you're dying to get out, but Mallards was a great find! The staff is friendly and the owners are extremely kind and personable. The menu is limited, but so far, everything I've tried has been delicious. My favorite appetizers are either the mushrooms that come out in a sizzling cast iron skillet with fresh garlic and butter, or the Brussels Sprouts with bacon and a balsamic glaze. Tried the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Western Wellington for the first time last night and were thoroughly impressed. The chicken was still super moist and jam packed full of flavor from the ham and swiss. In contrast from your traditional Wellington that is wrapped in pastry dough, the Western Wellington is wrapped in bacon around a butterflied tender cut of beef, that is then wrapped around a delicious layer of mushrooms. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. Another favorite dish is the Steak Sliders. Tender cuts of steak in deliciously light buns with crispy onions and a delicious sauce! While a great spot for delicious fare, this is also place to hang out, have a few drinks, shoot some pool, and just unwind with friends. Rumor has it, Thursdays are Sushi Nights and Fridays usually have live music...both of which I will be checking out soon!

Delicious food and cocktails! Incredibly friendly and hardworking folks, too. Perfect for anything from a date night to sipping a glass of wine and watching the sunset and mountains. We will definitely be back... a lot!
