“Alloz Grill may just be the single best place to get brunch in Vancouver. The place is run by a very wholesome filipino couple that clearly knows how to do things right. For just $16, you can get 2 eggs, a crazy amount of garlic fried rice, and perhaps the crispiest, juiciest pork belly (lechon) you’ll ever eat! My girlfriend got the beef tapa, which was just as much food and somehow even more flavourful! It’s a 45 min drive from my place on a busy day, but still, I might just be coming back every weekend for this. The photos speak for themselves. Highly recommend, easy 5/5.“

“Absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chilli (without the sour cream and cheese), big yummy chunks of meat and was the perfect size in my opinion. The garlic toast was also fresh and house made garlic butter. My husband ordered the beef brisket burger and was just as happy with his meal. I also ate some of his fries, heavily seasoned but sooo good.“

“First time trying, we ordered the family set with an order of crab on the side. Taste 1/1* Meat were fresh, marinated meat were tasty, and soup was great, though wife thought was slightly over salted. Crab was amazing, highly recommend! Value 0/1* Slightly on the expensive side, each person came out to $60+ with no beverages Service 1/1* Quick and friendly, lots of space for stroller too Cleanliness 1/1* Spotless Overall/Revisit 1/1* Yes would revisit Paying for ambience? MAYBE Above and beyond? 0/+1* NO On a side note, their pork belly are not served with a side of lettuce, also they don't have any draft beer, so if those are something you are craving, may be disappointed.“

“Food was fast and taste good. Even their tiny side dishes was good. Kimchi wasn't that spicy. But it was kind of expensive for lunch. 3 dishes came to $64. Seafood pancake was good, but for $25 that is kind of expensive. Not much seafood and not much veg either. Normally not much seafood should still be a lot of veg. The chicken was good , and the udon was good too. The restaurant was full during lunchtime and there was only 1 waitress and she did everything. Answer the phone for takeout, waiting table, serving the food........ She was a one man band. And we still able to finished our lunch within the hour, impressive.“

“My first time trying korean bbq and it was very delicious and fun. We picked the 4 person menu $170 and it was around 20 pieces from sushi and salad to all different proteins pieces, beef, chicken and pork. We sat outside enjoying extra ordinary amazing Vancouver weather. It was abit pricey but overall amazing.Vegetarian options: Few options, wouldn’t recommendDietary restrictions: Its a bbq based restaurant so most items related to meat.Parking: Parking location at both one way street is not that east.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“

“My friends and I visit this place at least once a month! The chicken is very tender, especially their signature charcoal chicken menus, which are excellent. Other items such as their ddeokbokki, fried chicken, and sides are also superb, so please come and enjoy yourselves! Additionally, all the staff are very friendly and kind, and the atmosphere is very welcoming!“

“I liked it, however it misses some vegetarian options. I had to stay with corn cheese and rice as there wasn't an option of vegetarian barbecue with veggies or something similar. I would say it is "tá bom" (it's good) but it's not "tá ótimo" (it's great)“

“Chinese meat skewers have entered the Vancouver food scene for the last couple of years. Its only been recently that I've finally experienced it for myself and I am delighted. The menu is on a QR code that is one each table, and you order through that. After a few verbal reviews from family who've been here before, this is what we ordered: Steamed clams with Sake $13.69 Enoki Mushroom & Beef Hot Pot $16.79 Double Cooked Pork Slice $24.14 Cucumber with Garlic $9.44 Saute Cabbage with Chili Beef Skewers $2.30 each Chicken Skewers $2.30 each Pork Belly Skewers $2.30 each Deep Fried Buns So many good things happening here. Everything is cooked in the back kitchen and then kept warm at your table with either sternos or tealights. Skewers are priced as per piece and there is a 2-5 piece minimum order. Some of the best items we ate were the Steamed Clams with Sake, Beef Skewers, Cucumber with Garlic and the Saute Cabbage with Chili. The restaurant is on the smaller side with about 12 -16 tables. Its a known for being a late night snack and drinking spot, so it does fill fast. They also have a small parking lot for them but it also fills up fast. Its good that they the Burquitlam Skytrain Station is across the street. If your looking to expand your food horizons then come and try Nice Meating You. They have something for everyone. Whether its skewers, noodles, soups or fried food, go with your friends and have a good time.“

“As an absolute food crazed individual I have to say Chef Han's restaurant Kosoo + Raw Bar is one of my favourite restaurants, here and abroad, so far. The chef was away for a while, on his return we visited and it was brilliant as usual. I have never been disappointed only always impressed beyond my expectations. Welcome back Chef Han!“

“Best western BBQ I’ve had in the city. The atmosphere is quaint but very cozy and the owner makes everything himself. We splurged on the full platter as a group of 3 to give everything a try and everything went beyond what I could’ve ever imagined: the ribs are so tender and fall perfectly off the bone, the brisket and chicken are both incredibly juicy, and the pulled pork is just perfectly flavourful (and not too dry!)All sauces really elevated each every single dish, would absolutely come again.Notes: reservation required, call or email. Orders could take some time since everything is made immediately to-order. Great meat takes time and man is it worth it. Thank you Marc for such a terrific experience!“

“The tasting platter let's you try a variety of different cuts of meat for the price and definitely recommend trying if you don't have any particular cut you want to go for. Biggest recommendations is 100% to get the wagyu oil rice which was super flavorful.“

“Our new favorite Korean place! When it's date night for my husband and I, we usually go for Korean. We've frequented many Korean restaurants and Sumi just hit to our favourite one! The soups are incredible (great spice and flavours) as well as the fried chicken wings are crispy and meaty. We are looking forward to coming back again soon to try other dishes. It's clean, quick service and the food is fresh and well made! ?“
“Last-minute plans for my dad's birthday led me to Yo-Bones. I remember having their pulled pork with mac & cheese a couple years ago from their food truck, and I couldn’t wait to try them again. Despite the spontaneous visit, Yoshi at Yo-Bones went above and beyond to accommodate our party and treated us to a feast fit for a king. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of smoked meat filled the air. I ordered an array of BBQ delights, including pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, and beef brisket, all cooked to perfection. The standout star of the meal was undoubtedly the mac & cheese, boasting a creamy texture that melted in your mouth with every bite. Paired with the savory cornbread, it was the ultimate comfort food combination. The BBQ sauce served alongside the meats was the perfect balance between tangy and smoky flavors that complemented the meats beautifully. Each bite of the tender and soft meat was a testament to the skill and dedication of the pitmasters.Everything we tried at Yo-Bones was a delight to the taste buds, leaving us craving more even after our plates were empty. We were too full though! The service by Yoshi was exceptional, yet warm.Without a doubt, I will be returning to Yo-Bones in the near future and recommending it to all my friends and family. 10/10 would recommend.“

“Today try their hot pot with my husband and 2 boys, all of the lady and the gentleman working there are so friendly. The food come really quick and the quality is pretty surprising food. Most of the things that I like is their service, my 2 boys keep asking the 2nd cotton candy after we paid, they still give it to them and didn't show (my kids annoying and bugging them) . Their service so good and so patient. Definitely will go back again. Also yesterday try there special cha-shiu rice combo with lemon tea, the cha-shiu and rice so flavorful, same the guys service nice and also the dim sum. Highly recommend people to try.“

“Tucked away inside Parker Place mall, my family and I have been coming here for their BBQ for over 20 years. Perhaps this set the standard for me for HK bbq, but after decades it remains my favourite bbq place with taste and quality as good as the traditional stalls from HK. Their BBQ duck and cha siu pork are the best; they have a unique flavour that you cant find anywhere else in Vancouver. Their roasted pork is extremely crispy and flavourful, but should be eaten when hot. Their longevity and consistency are a testiment to their product, and in a city already known for its chinese food, Parker Place BBQ stands on top as a must try.“

“I normally find steamed buns kind of slimey. But these were sooooo good. I got the bbq pork and it was great. I ate it so quickly I went back in to get another. The nice lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted to try a different kind. She recommended the spicy beef it was even better. Great experience, great vibes. Very wholesome energy.“

“Ordered pickup / takeout a couple days ago.The food was very good and satisfying. The prices are quite fair too. The people were very nice when we picked it up.At the time, I was feeling a little bleh so I ordered some Plain Congee and it was exactly what I needed right then. Fully settled my stomach and soothed my throat. Recommend for anyone under the weather to get some of their plain congee and a good nap. We also got the West Lake soup. It was tasty and filling.Dietary restrictions: I have a million food allergies and even I found more than several items that worked for me.“

“The barbecue was so delicious and the meat was incredibly tender. We were given all the tools needed to cut the meat to our desired size, and there was a convenient banchan pairing that was very delicious as well. The bibimbap was great as well, with jellies in it for texture which I never had in bibimbaps before, they mix it and prep it for you at the table as well which is so convenient too. All in all a wonderful outing and dinner experience. Would recommend for special occasions!“

“Yesterday, I went to his house for dinner with my friends. Overall, it was very good. The beef and lamb skewers are always delicious! Especially recommend the cold skin, tinfoil sauerkraut and squid skewers, they are really good? The only drawback is that the cup is often not washed clean, and there is a smell of medicine. In addition, the credit card fee is a bit small.“
“Friendly staff and very knowledgeable in their line of products. They gave us a lot of advices since we were buying seafood to bring to our family who lives oversea. They offered to help us keep them in the tanks until closer to the time we fly and we really appreciated it. Their prices are relatively cheaper than most markets so check it out if you need to buy bulks of seafood.“

“The Devil's Char Siu was crazy good. Though a half order is probably enough. This time we got the 2 mini + entree combo. Came with soup and rice and dessert. Not bad value.Even the tea is really comforting. The soup of the day was a peppery, herbal pork broth. A nice way to start the meal. The broccoli was fresh and crunchy. Our toddler son devoured it. And the BBQ items were juicy. The siu yook maybe a tiny bit too salty for me, but easily balanced with rice and tea.Overall solid meal. The staff were friendly and present too. The Chinese music videos in the background were entertaining in their own right. The place was very clean too.“

“Free surface parking @ the Amazing Brentwood. Paid underground parking. Accept cc. Long lineup when it had their grand opening. I went there again recently on a weekday and there was no lineup and no wait. 3 ladies working behind the counter. Minimal interaction but the servers remained polite. Price justified by the portion and food quality. Fair to say that they maintain the quality of food (by food court standard). I don't mind to come back again.Parking: Free surface parking @ the Amazing Brentwood. Paid underground parking.“

“When they first opened, we dined in a few times for lunch...could be quite busy during peak hours...so we would arrive a bit after 1:30p.m. (easier to find parking too)OurThen we continue to buy take out every few weeks....as the food is tasty ....with lots of varieties....price reasonable...and most important of all.....they are very open so the customers can look through the glass windows when they are chopping up various BBQ meats....unlike in some other restaurants where customers may complain about missing pieces of meat. Our favorite take out include BBQ Port, chicken (both ginger or soy), roasted park with crispy skin, roast duck, BBQ ribs etc etcToday we got half a roasted duck ($22), a big box of duck wings ($10), and a small of BBQ ribs ($8). “An established traditional Cantonese style restaurant with typical service . The food is fair . The daily soup was lukewarm warm at best. The bathroom was also typical, not clean for a mom and pop restaurant. The food was also warm and not hot. The price point is Cheap to reasonable with big portions. I suggest coming during off hours, not the weekend. The food and service should be much better during the weekdays since when busy, it may not be the best. Check out the specials and photos.“

“Really there's nowhere better for indulgent, gargantuan takes on old school western classics - lumberjack breakfasts, loaded burgers that throw in the kitchen sink, and so on. Vancouver's oldest restaurant keeping it real and keeping bellies full since 1926. Fun gimmicky design, doesn't take itself seriously at all. Whatever the opposite to pretentious is.“
