“We ate here while waiting for a flight at YVR in Vancouver. The food was absolutely delicious! The next time we are in Vancouver we will definitely find the main restaurant to have dinner. The staff at the airport were very friendly and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone.“

“I had a lovely lunch of Assorted Oden at Gyo-O recently. It was a simple meal, but Oden isn't something that I see often around here so I was very happy to be able to order it at Gyo-O. There's another restaurant in Richmond that's supposed to specialize in Oden, and I had tried it one time but found it quite disappointing. While there was a wide variety of Oden to choose from, we weren't very impressed with the food when it arrived at our table. Oden is meant to be a hot wintertime stew but the broth that was served with our oden was not at all hot.This Oden at Gyo-O was much better. The broth was hot as it should be, and the size of the food was impressive. The tofu and daikon were both massive! Such humungous chunks of tofu and daikon. I'd had Oden in Japan not too long ago, and the daikon there was also huge. This daikon at Gyo-O was quite comparable in size. Possibly slightly larger even. If I have a craving for Oden, I don't think I'll bother searching for any other place in Vancouver to have it. I'll come straight to Gyo-O again!My friend was with me and she ordered a Tendon bento box. She said the rice texture was a bit off, and ended up pouring soup over her rice to moisten it. “Service is definitely 10/10. Very attentive and friendly. As soon as we submitted our order through QR code, we received the food in 15 minutes. That’s crazy speed. 酸菜魚 itself is very spicy, however the server gave us a bowl of pure chicken soup, so we can wash off the spiciness a bit, it did helps a lot. The tea they serve when you sit it’s very delicious too.“

“While visiting the city with my friends, we decided to check out this place for happy hour. The server and host were very helpful and friendly. Although we didn't order any food, the drinks during happy hour were great, and the view from the patio where we sat was stunning, especially during the sunset. The fresh seafood is reasonably priced— the king crab, cooked to your preference, matches supermarket prices but exceeds in flavor. We enjoyed an 8lb king crab prepared three ways (crab fried rice, oil drizzle and salty egg yolk satay, which was a delightful surprise). The Geoduck served two ways—oil drizzle and satay with veggies—was also impressive, varying from chewy to tender and light. “I read an article about Frank's food truck and thought to try his food and give him a support. I love that he is serving fresh local food that either he catches or buys from local fishermen. I tried salmon sandwich Cascadian and it was delicious. It is not cheap but this is high end food. Will come back for sure.“

“Waited a while before someone put us on the list for 2. People rush to get their name on the list. A group of 4 people jumped in front of us but didn’t want to fight with an elderly woman. We got our table after 5mins anyway. Food was over very good. Just took a long time to come out. One of the dish we order didn’t show up. We had to ask to have to bill adjusted.“

“We sat next to the large wall screen with the Masters at Augusta and McIlroy setting up on his swing. For a golf addict like me, I loved it. The place was immaculate for a Chinese dim sum restaurant, except for the bathrooms that could be a little more cleaner. The service was good to excellent. The waiters did not change out our plates until we asked them to. Some of the more upscale places will change them out for you more frequent than not. Dim sum is served via a checklist menu, not with the traditional carts. Prices are comparable and food was delicious. It is always difficult to feed 3 people when each dish has 4 items. The crab claws and sticky rice were nice and came in 3's. The fried squid was plentiful and the tripe had tendons mixed in. Only complaint was the parking which was busy and tight. Overall, it was a good place to eat and meet.Parking: Watch for the reserved parking signs.“
