“Stopped in while touristing around Steven Avenue Mall:down town area looking for a lunch stop that could accommodate a *gluten free eater and we popped into a fairly busy Falafel King and saw the menu had a Greek Salad as well as traditional dishes, shawarma wraps, falafel plates and bowls. I ordered the Greek Salad while my friends ordered wraps and they kindly asked if I wanted something else which is when I said I need gf so I’ll stick to the salad and they said we can add any meat you like and sauces are all good for you so they created a kind of chicken Greek salad which was delicious! The wraps were reported as great as well and the server added a small taste of baklava to their plates as well which was thoughtful, tasty and appreciated. The restaurant was bright and clean as were the bathrooms. “This place is really special because they actually make their own donairs. If you eat at almost any given shawarma place, the beef donair you taste tends to be pretty similar across the city. This place you can actually taste that it's different and that it's their own recipe because it's a taste like no other in the whole city. Less spice and more beef. Their chicken is also really good too. Very flavorful and juicy. They sometimes do a lamb or bison too. Not much options in the toppings and sauces but they have your usual suspects. Pita is pretty generic but it works. Very friendly owner. Small place, busy during lunch rush hour but they make it pretty quick.“

“Few days ago I left a review complaining about the donair I got from shawarma Barlow SE location and the owner asked me to contact him to solve the problem and that’s what I did. HONESTLY, he is a really nice person. He explained that he doesn’t own the SE location anymore and that they are still using their name. He offered us another donair at NE location and I wasn’t disappointed this time. The donair was the best I had so far. It was juicy, the meat was fresh and it was huge. And not just that, they even gave us some free falafel I’m gonna come back here for sure. I just love how much respect and care they show for their customers. It’s incredible.“
“Took my family here last night, hands down in the top 3 best donairs in the city. Great price and NO run to the bathroom when we got home. They have the only bison Donaire in the city and the owners are super friendly as well as have been making donairs for decades. It's a must have!!!“
