“We’ve been coming to Franca’s for lunch or dinner now and then over the years, and honestly, we’ve never been disappointed. “ordered the Rosé Pasta, and it was absolutely perfect—creamy, flavourful, and cooked just right. The Garlic Bread Sticks were warm, buttery, and had the perfect crunch on the outside. I also had a side of French Fries—crispy, golden, and not greasy at all. To top it all off, I tried the Mango Italian Soda, which was so refreshing and unique! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh. Highly recommend this location if you're craving Italian with a modern twist. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“This place is amazing. We first had aperitivo, then pasta and finally dessert. Everything was simply amazing. Aperitivo we had arancini and meatballs with Aperol Spritz, great price on the happy hour menu and wow that tomato sauce was amazing!! The pasta fileja was so delicious, we ordered one boscaiola and one with nduja, both excellent!!! Dessert - tiramisu and bombolone gelato, paired with the suggested cocktails, another success! The whole experience was so good that I can’t wait to be back and try something else. Also the servers were amazing and Biagio very friendly! Perfect date!! Grazie! 🙏“

The pizza is really good, lots of toppings and we'll priced. The burgers and other items I have tried are also great.
Definitely give this place a try if your looking for take out or delivery. It's much better then any of the chain pizza places in the area. It's not even a competition.“

“Pleasantly surprised by this place! We randomly chose it for a quick bite, as it's counter service. However, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, the arancini were delicious and huge, and the both the portion and taste of the lasagna exceeded my expectations. I had the leftovers for lunch the next day and it was just as good as I remembered! Even the glass of house red I had was very nice.

Overall, great experience here and definitely recommend you check this out for a cozy, no-fuss Italian restaurant.“

“This was my 3rd time at Pacini Calgary Northeast and just like the 1st time, it was an absolutey amazing dining experience! Our server was Ludmilo, and to our amazement she remembered us from 3 years ago, as soon as she seen us! She was super friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, patient and very helpful! The bread bar is really cool and the various types of breads, along with garlic butter spreads were so delicious. The pasta I had was very plentiful and was bursting with flavor! I love that they even offer fresh cheese to put on top! One of the best things about the pasta is that it isn't 'heavy' like pasta you'd buy in the store! My husband had the risotto (we've never ever had it before) and it was absolutely amazing!! Thanks for your service Ludmilo, we definitely will be back!“

Sid pays particular attention to our needs, making suggestions, and making us feel welcome with his cheerful disposition and interesting conversation. “Had a great time at Mercato! I've been wanting to try the restaurant for a while and the opportunity finally arose.

Firstly, a reservation is a must, even if you go early you're going to sit at the bar most likely otherwise.

We had a large mushroom risotto and the carota (carrots). I had an amaretto sour and my dinner partner had the margarita Italiano. The service was prompt and professional, with great directions. I liked that there are different sizes of pasta available, makes sharing much easier!

The risotto was delicious, very creamy with lots mushrooms, and tons of parmesan. Some pieces of rice were slightly underdone but we ate it all so I don't think it affected anything. The carrots were also a great side, light charring with yummy ricotta underneath. Personally I wish the ricotta was slightly more seasoned but again we ate it all!

I'll definitely be back and I recommend it 😊“

“Buon Giorno has always been a family favourite. The new location is great. The new place has both the main dining room upstairs with similar decor to the old place, as well as a downstairs dining room which was much quieter. Our server, Michael, made our dining experience delightful. He was entertaining and efficient. The only downside was that, on a busy evening, we did have to wait an exceptionally long time for our food to arrive. When our food did arrive, it was piping hot and delicious as always. This indicates to me that, for times like these, more kitchen staff is needed to service the enlarged facility.“

“This Mom and Pop family owned cafe is a treasure in downtown Calgary. The food is genuinely Italian. Biscotti made on the premises is absolutely delicious. The Cesare sandwich was also delicious. They also do take away. I highly recommend.“

“Annabelle’s Kitchen was fantastic. The rigatoni was rich and perfectly cooked, and the pizza had an amazing, airy, blistered crust topped with fresh arugula, earthy mushrooms, and creamy cheese.

The strawberry shortcake was a standout; light, fresh, and not too sweet.

I had lots of issues dodging the sun. The folks at the next table, in my position, had sunglasses on. An investment in some blinds on the south windows would make customers more comfortable.“
