“Our sever Payton was excellent. Her charm at the table was great. Was at the table at the right time and never missed a beat! Albert and Payton were working the room and the teamwork between them was seamless! Oh yeah the food was good too!“

“Had a great dinner at Annabelle’s Kitchen.

We ordered the campanelle pasta (basil pistou, potatoes, green beans, pistachio crumb) and the squid ink linguini (prawns, tomatoes, white wine, basil). Both standouts with thoughtful flavor, texture and striking presentation; a testament to Chef Kelvin’s skill.

Service was a highlight. Maria guided us through the menu confidently and made very palette friendly recommendations. Jerry and the team was present on the floor, checking in and helping things run smoothly. It felt like the team genuinely cared about the dining experience.

The only minor drawback: toward the end of the evening, the dining room got lively, which made it a little harder to hear at times. It didn’t take away from an otherwise excellent night.

Definitely a spot I’d recommend and one I’ll be returning to.“

“We’ve been coming to Franca’s for lunch or dinner now and then over the years, and honestly, we’ve never been disappointed. The food is always spot-on, and the gnocchi is hands-down the best in Calgary. Light, pillowy, and full of flavour. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, and Franca herself often pops by to say hello, which makes the experience feel personal in a way that’s hard to find these days. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, without being over the top. It’s one of those places you keep coming back to, not just for the food, but because it feels like part of the community.“

“ordered the Rosé Pasta, and it was absolutely perfect—creamy, flavourful, and cooked just right. The Garlic Bread Sticks were warm, buttery, and had the perfect crunch on the outside. I also had a side of French Fries—crispy, golden, and not greasy at all. To top it all off, I tried the Mango Italian Soda, which was so refreshing and unique! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh. Highly recommend this location if you're craving Italian with a modern twist. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“This place is amazing. We first had aperitivo, then pasta and finally dessert. Everything was simply amazing. Aperitivo we had arancini and meatballs with Aperol Spritz, great price on the happy hour menu and wow that tomato sauce was amazing!! The pasta fileja was so delicious, we ordered one boscaiola and one with nduja, both excellent!!! Dessert - tiramisu and bombolone gelato, paired with the suggested cocktails, another success! The whole experience was so good that I can’t wait to be back and try something else. Also the servers were amazing and Biagio very friendly! Perfect date!! Grazie! 🙏“

Alfredo sauce has a smooth texture & complimented the added chicken. Hubby has enjoyed both visits. Toscana Italian Grill on Macleod has become one of our favourite restaurants for value, good portions and amazing service. Families are welcome and very accommodating for children!“

“My third time ordering in less than a month through door dash, and phenomenal everytime! The sauce is magical, I'm addicted. And the crust is perfect, even better if you throw in the air fryer for a min.
Now here's where I wish I could give extra stars, because they outshine any pizza I've ever tasted! I have bad stomach issues, so my ability to eat pizza is limited and still I suffer. For some reason with Estoria, I have never had an upset stomach and I can eat multiple slices at once. This speaks to the quality of ingredients 👏 matched with flavour 👌
Not to mention, they don't raise their prices on Doordash, like most places do - it's menu prices. So happy I found them!“

“This Mom and Pop family owned cafe is a treasure in downtown Calgary. The food is genuinely Italian. Biscotti made on the premises is absolutely delicious. The Cesare sandwich was also delicious. They also do take away. I highly recommend.“

“Eating at Pacini is like eating at home…Sid, our server greets us at the door like a good good friend every time we visit, which is quite often. Sid pays particular attention to our needs, making suggestions, and making us feel welcome with his cheerful disposition and interesting conversation. Sid not only knows our names but what kind of food we like. We enjoy his subtle ways of engaging at just the right time. Sid is definitely aware of our time in the restaurant. “We had our anniversary there. The waiter was just great. They had excellent recommendations for wine and food. Everyone was welcoming and pleasant. We have eaten here many time before and are always happy with returning and giving them our business.“

The new place has both the main dining room upstairs with similar decor to the old place, as well as a downstairs dining room which was much quieter. Our server, Michael, made our dining experience delightful. He was entertaining and efficient. The only downside was that, on a busy evening, we did have to wait an exceptionally long time for our food to arrive. When our food did arrive, it was piping hot and delicious as always. This indicates to me that, for times like these, more kitchen staff is needed to service the enlarged facility.“

I have to say this was my first time eating at a Chianti restaurant. I also saw a cute waitress/server there who seemed new. She had a star sticker on the right side of her face, ponytail. But every female waitress/server were cute in their own way. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends whenever they come to Calgary for a vacational visit.“
