Red's Diner in Kensington is a consistently great experience every single time. Food is served hot and tastes good, with incredible food choices and excellent service across the board. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict is a standout, prepared better than most brunch places. Other popular meals include the amazing omelet, a Reuben with side soup perfect for a cold day, and quite possibly the best grilled cheese sandwich ever, with the chicken chowder on the side. They have TONS of gluten free options, including a burger on a gluten free bun. Staff are attentive, friendly, and work very quickly even when it is busy. The atmosphere is typical of a diner, though it can get loud and noisy. Parking could be challenging depending on the hour, though some luck out with a street spot on a Sunday. It is a bit pricey, but all in all a good place to get lunch or grab a morning coffee. The wonderful energy in this diner makes it one of the best places in Calgary.
