Silver Inn, where to start; Amazing, we lived in Calgary for years and this was a go to, we lived outside of Calgary for years and this was a go to. My wife and I shared many meals here alone, with our daughter and family as well. Birthdays, and other celebrations. We miss having "Mom" sit at our table in her down time, or comparing Candy Crush levels with our daughter, and showing us her new grandchild, she was so proud. A nice Chinese restaurant with a very rich history. This restaurant is the birth place of a Chinese cuisine favorite "Ginger Beef", now enjoyed my many people at many other restaurants all over the world. Silver Inn has been a Calgary staple, located on Center Street North, for many years now, and unfortunately will soon be closing it's doors after many decades of serving Calgarians. Come try this restaurant while you can.

I am a big ginger beef fan and I always wonder what it was like from the original place. It was already on my places to go for this reason ?It was fairly quiet tonight and I would not have had to make reservations, but I wasn't going to chance?‍♀️, I looked up some Google reviews and the menu beforehand so we knew exactly what to order: Ginger beef(of course), fried pork dumplings, beef with broccoli and chicken fried rice.
