Subway in Calgary

“I visited the Calgary Subway today (Sunday) and wanted to share some positive feedback. This was my first time eating at this location, and I am so glad I went. I usually stay away from eating out, but this place definitely changed my mind and I will go back!
​The store was extremely clean and the food tasted great. Most importantly, the employee named Nav gave me excellent customer service. She was very professional and welcoming. It is in a great spot in our beautiful city, located in the Deerfoot City plaza right across from my GoodLife gym. Please let her know she is doing a wonderful job!✌️🙏❤️“

“It was quite busy on Saturday May 23, but Lou, Heidi and Tony were quick to serve us and cleared the line quick;y. The restaurant was well light, clean and inviting, The staff always calls out a welcome when you come in the door and thanks you when you are paying. Great staff in this location. Bella“

“Love coming to the subway for lunch. The girls do an awesome job.However, when I tipped them today, I found out the owner keeps the tips and not the staff.What a joke. The owner should be ashamed of himself. I will never tip on cart again. Only cash for the people who make my meals. Keep up the good work staff!!!“

“This is honestly the best Subway location I’ve ever been to in Calgary. The store is always spotless, and the food is consistently fresh the bread is fluffy, the veggies are crisp, and everything tastes amazing every single time. They’re also very generous with their portions, which makes a huge difference in the quality of the sandwiches.

They always wrap everything with care so nothing falls apart, and their hygiene and presentation are excellent. They have mixed up a few of my online orders before, but despite that, this location still deserves a full 5 stars. The quality, freshness, and service here are unmatched.“

“LovePreet is top notch and my absolute favourite subway “Sandwich Artist”.
She is the only person to ever understand and know what I mean (before I even had to finish my sentence) when I ask for my sauce to be put in a “zigzag” across both sides of the bread, rather than a line.
I will never forget the joy she has brought me.

The only negative things I could think of are corporate issues, not location issues, so I have to give them 5 stars. It's a good experience every time.“

“I'm going to start with I ordered from Subway last night around 2:00 a.m. I had a footlong pizza sub and had it delivered from doordash to Skyview and it was absolutely amazing the best sub I have had in a long time then today my mom was heading out and asked if I wanted lunch and I am so glad that I asked her to grab me a sub but from the same location with you guys because last night was so good so she came in and ordered 2 ft long pizza subs and a footlong BLT and two bowls of the amazing broccoli soup lunch was amazing and my snack for later looks good thank you so much for the fresh food in the night time and the daytime you guys are appreciated I'm definitely going to have to head into the location to tip you guys for good food good service no different when you're tipping your door – guy so please remember the lady who orders the crazy pizza subs and The BLT with extra crispy bacon LOL see you soon thanks again you guys rock“

“Loveleen and Uzma greeted us so nicely (my wife and me were having tough day and they put smile on our face)
The way they made our subs was amazing as sauce were put before veggies and it was eatable (they are good at their job)
Chicken was kept in a measurable cups for the subs which I’ve not seen anywhere
Overall the experience was great and you should be proud for having such employees work for you“

“The service here was fantastic. I came during the lunch rush and two ladies behind the counter were so attentive to every customer. Had to wait less than 5 mins despite several people ahead of me and was served well with bowl being made properly, as shown in the ads which never happens.“

“I visited your restaurant with my family on July 11, 2026. The food was great, and we enjoyed our meal.

My only concern was when I went to pay. Your debit machine prompted me for a tip, but there was no option to leave a 0% tip. I found that very frustrating.

As an owner, I think it's important to know that some customers are discouraged by this. While I realize I may be in the minority, I don't believe customers should have to search for a way to decline tipping. It can make people feel pressured or uncomfortable.

Our bill was $42, and the machine suggested a 20% tip—an additional $8.40. I don't mind choosing to tip when I feel it's appropriate, but I believe it should always be a genuine choice, including the option to leave 0%.

Unfortunately, this experience is enough that I'll likely avoid visiting this Subway location in the future—not because of the food or the service, both of which were good, but because of the payment experience.

I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that you'll consider adjusting the payment terminal settings so customers have a clear option to decline tipping if they choose.“

“The guy who made my food clearly cared about his job, he made me an amazing sandwich and he had excellent customer service. While I was waiting in line I looked up and I noticed that there were cameras directly above each sandwich making station and it made me feel very uncomfortable. I do not like that its either Subway international or this resturant specifically is recording my face with one camera and my sandwich order at rhe same time. That feels like a violation. Not including the fact that for the staff who are being considered constantly recorded for what ever reason. I thought this was Canada. I was raised to believe that you train and trust your staff to have integrity and work to the best of there ability. I will be visiting many other subways to observe if they all have cameras directly above every work station.“

The veggie patty had a nice taste and texture, making it really satisfying. The veggies were crisp, the bread was soft, and everything was made just the way I asked. The cookies were warm, soft, and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Along with a refreshing drink, it made for a filling and delicious combo.

“I’ve been coming here for the past 10 years and lately almost 3-4 times a week and this is by far the best subway around, Anu is usually the one helping me (though all their staff is wonderful) and she never fails to make me the BEST sandwich and delivers it with a smile - my favourite place to grab lunch on the go.“

“What an amazing Subway location here in downtown at the CORE, as someone who’s been here a few times a month. It looks much better than the previous as it was just renovated a week or two ago. The food is the same as in every Subway location across the city but the customer service is top notch, including Tita Creedence and Parmeet and the staff there, super sweet, friendly and helpful, very professional sandwich artists. She is very sweet and well spoken.

To note, they have removed the fountain drink dispenser and now have the Pepsi physical bottles with the renovation instead of cups.

Might be the only good Subway in Downtown. Now visiting more often.

“Subway is usually great. Not sure how this place of all places we go to, never had spinach (only on my last visit did they have it)... They rearranged the sitting arrangement, much better now but still more cramped than in other places which have more space to work with. Otherwise, the servers are friendly and don't skimp on veggies. Unless you use coupons.“
