“Love this spot. So cute inside and the staff are all really kind. The milk tea is delicious! They don’t use powder so you can really taste the flavors in the tea. The shredded potatoes have a tasty chili oil flavor. And the chicken wings!! I don’t even normally go for chicken wings but these are so good. The batter has this lemony/salty flavor and they are really crispy and fresh. 10/10 recommend.“

“Food is ok in general. Unfortunately they are more worry asking you how is the food than in the actual service. I bet they came at least 10 times asking about the food. My glass of water was half empty most of the time. I’ve got a refilled once. At the end, we checked the bill and we’ve got charge PST- WTH? I cannot imagine how many other people got charges and didn’t even know! Not impressed! I like most of the food, fried chicken needs it more flavour. The rest was good!“

“Me and my husband love going to hotpot. We actually go almost every week lol... And I can say, this is our new main place to go have our hotpot.

They have a special combo where it's such well priced and the serving you get is a perfect size.

The soup broth is so amazing. It's so comforting. The staff are very pleasant as well. Always happy to greet you! We are pretty much the known customers that come here haha..

Wow — hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to here in Edmonton! Everything about this place just hits the mark. The food is so clean, so fresh, and bursting with flavor. You can really tell how much care goes into every dish.

The drink menu? Endless! Every option is fun, creative, and refreshingly delicious — there’s truly something for everyone.

But honestly, the highlight has to be the staff. Randy is one of the best hosts we’ve ever had — professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The whole team makes you feel right at home whether you’re dressed up for a night out or keeping it casual.

“My husband and I ordered take out for a busy week so we could have a lazy day and then some leftovers- and this restaurant was a great choice! Great service, lots of options and quick pick up time. The food was hot and delicious. We got the chicken pad Thai, ginger beef, chicken balls, bbq pork, Vietnamese rolls and beef chow mein. I would highly recommend the ginger beef, chow mein, chicken balls and rolls! There is still some things we would like to try on the menu. We will for sure be returning customers!“

“Was pleased with our delivery of items (except the yang chow fried rice).
The steamed shrimp and corn dumplings, pan fried shrimp and chive cake & pan fried eggplant with shrimp was all delicious.
The Szechuan ginger beef was sweeter than I prefer, but the meat was so tender and not dried out like other places.
The dry garlic ribs are the best I’ve ever had in Edmonton.
Beef brisket with radish is also great.
Chicken balls are a good size and not over breaded.
Again the yang chow fried rice was not that good as the rice tasted old and dried out.
Same with the Singapore style rice noodles, just not my favourite compared to other places.
All in all a good choice for ordering in. Will definitely give it another go next time and try some more items.“

“Ordered the sliced noodles with egg & tomato sauce, minced pork sauce & hot chili oil (hot and spicy). The flavours were very good. The portion size was good too but can probably be shared. Overall, this is one of my favourite noodle places for Chinese northern style noodles.“

“Blue Quill Chinese Food had been our go to place for about 10 years. Until about 2 -3 years ago, we felt the quality had just gone down hill. I’m sure alot of restaurants/business’s struggled back then. But pretty much every dish was just filled with onions and carrots and spouts, and small amounts of the actual item we’d order, and flavour wasn’t there either. We tried a couple times, but eventually stopped ordering from there unfortunately.

Well last night my kiddo begged for Chinese food, and since we haven’t found other places in the neighbourhood that we’ve loved either, I clicked on Blue Quill and started reading the reviews. It stated they've been under new management, and had some good experiences. We ordered, and I have to say I was so impressed and happy! Not alot of extra fillers, flavour was great, portion sizes were amazing . The chicken balls are GINORMOUS! With big pieces of chicken inside. Their sweet and sour sauce is the only one I actually like, more sweet then sour and the deep red color. Reminds me of the one that was served at a restaurant in BC that I used to work at.

I know in all those years, the original owners were absolutely sweet and hard working, I have no idea if they are still there, and just getting some help, but I’m truly happy to have my go to place back!

We ordered the Dinner for 2 combo with spring rolls. Subbed Pineapple Chicken Balls for just sweet and sour, and added an order of Shanghai Noodles (has Bbq pork-yumm) and received a free order of Deep Fried Wontons.“

My staff loved the food. We're about 15 minutes away, and the food was still hot and fresh. It was tasty, lots of added condiments, and a few extra fortune cookies.

I will seriously consider taking my friends there for dinner. Highly recommended.“

“I am wonton soup hound. I've eaten most every wonton soup in the area The house will make my own using roasted garlic and leak with sesame oil. I have not tried the rest of the order yet but the price and quantity of wontons is great. Quality of wanton could be better it's a little bit gluey and seems like straight pork It would be nice if it had some water chestnuts perhaps and aromatics. They would be able to cut their product what boosting the flavor profile also could use MSG My and a touch“

“Hi. I've been in only three times, but will come by more often now. The people are really nice. The cooks take the orders and you can watch them cook if you like, or sit down in the nice seating area. It's very relaxing in there.

I went in to order out and tried something new...it was great. It had Lotus root! Anyway, I was feeling down and anxious when I popped in but the gentle atmosphere was so soothing it made me smile. Before I knew it my order was ready. I headed home still smiling quietly and enjoyed my lovely meal.

“Lived in the area for a while and just recently started coming here for take away chinese food. Only been here twice so I haven't tried a lot from the menu but so far I'm digging the sweet and sour pork, shanghai noodles, beef and broccoli and chicken balls with the sauce. Each dish is also great bang for your buck. The average dish is $13.50 while the same dish at other restaurants in the city are $18-$20.

“We had dinner tonight at Red Dimond House, the food was delicious and the service was wonderful and friendly. All the dishes popped with flavor. The ginger beef and sweet and sour pork were both crispy and tender. The vegetables cooked perfectly, still crispy. We enjoyed the atmosphere, sitting in the "window" room surrounded by dark wood with beautiful detail and traditional pictures, surrounded by that wood. This is the best Chinese cuisine we have had in a long time.We will be visiting Red Dimond House more often, even though we live just south of Edmonton. I don't think I would take it to go... this might change the wonderful texture of the food.“

“3rd time I go there. The spicy chicken is really good. Today only few pieces was left around 2pm. The gentleman that was working there went above and beyond and made fresh chicken and noodle for me.

Oh and the prices, super cheap for the area.

“I have been living in Edmonton for 3 years, moved from Toronto. This is my favorite chinese take-out. Second is Sai Woo Garden. I have ordered their Mao Cai (extra spicy) with extra order of spicy beef and szechuan fried meat countless times. Also their cumin beef chow mein is really good. If you like spicy chinese food, this is the place to order from.“
