I usually have the food delivered, so I don't know what the atmosphere is like in the restaurant. Whatever I've ordered was always hot and it tasted great. I don't live far from the 97 Street location, so that helps, I guess.
I'll have to eat in one of these days to see what the place looks like inside. :-)
I walked in not realizing there was no buffet weekdays. Was asked if we wanted take out or eat in. We requested eat in: wonton soup and green onion cake and prepaid the meal.
The waitress quickly had us seated at a table with place mats and cutlery and water. The food came quickly and was fresh and delicious!
We ordered another large bowl of soup and green onion soup to go; paid for the extra take out meal and left pleased and satisfied.

Szechuan Paramount Restaurant on the Northside offers a comfortable and spacious dining area with a fully loaded buffet featuring Chinese and Western cuisine. The friendly staff provides great service, even staying open late to accommodate customers. Recent visits have shown improvement in the food quality, with a noticeable difference in the care put into the dishes. The spring rolls are top tier, the beef and broccoli is great, and the sweet and sour pork is saucy. Ginger beef and chow mein are flavorful, and the staff is very quick with orders. The restaurant is also a great choice for catering, with smooth ordering, fantastic delivery, and delicious food that receives compliments.
