The food the flavors the pairings the combinations of flavors the presentation on top of an atmosphere carefully curated into a cozy lively Japanese style tapas bar with the most stellar customer service from your servers you can't go wrong here, you just can't. My brain had fireworks going off the entire time I was there tasting everything I had ordered from the duck and beef tataki to the 5 assorted sashimi and the aburi saba. It was "chef's kiss". If you're new to Edmonton and love Japanese styled and inspired foods you HAVE TO COME HERE. Reservations highly encouraged we got lucky to get in as quick as we did without one, but this place is VERY popular.“

“We have been coming to DOSC in Edmonton for the past couple of years and have always been impressed with both the food and the service. Our most recent visit, however, left an especially strong impression.

We were celebrating a special occasion, and this time we also had a health-related concern that required some careful menu modifications. We did not come in with any expectations, but we were genuinely pleased by how seriously both the staff and kitchen took the situation.

The team did more than simply tell us what would or would not work. They took the time to guide us through the menu, explain which items were suitable, and suggest thoughtful ways to modify some of our favourite dishes so we could still enjoy them safely that evening. That level of care requires good communication between the service team and the kitchen, and it made a real difference to our experience.

We started with the Wagyu hot stone and the oxtail poutine. For mains, we had the beef Wellington and the Northern Gold ribeye, along with a couple of drinks. Everything was excellent. The dishes felt carefully prepared, flavourful, and well executed, with the kind of richness and attention to detail that makes a celebratory meal feel special.
